Denver at Baltimore (11/01/2009)

Balt needs this game more....at home.....better QB......backs against the wall......I'm rolling with Balt......Denver is going to give a couple back in the next couple weeks.  Orten will show his colors in this one on the road. 

Cant see how you can possibly give denver 3.5 points, clearly will be a field goal game the spread should be a pickem, but Vegas got there wish as most people are backing the ravens anyway.

 

Go with Denver and laugh when they lose on a game winning field goal

baltimore is the pick.  this has to be the hungriest team in the league.  last week they started off slow against minnesota which led to 14 quick points by the vikings.  I don't see that happening again.  I think they play a complete game this sunday and get a strong effort from a rested defense.  while denver also had a bye i think the bye benefits the ravens more.  denver may have lost some of their great momentum.

denver will see a very tough and physical test, something a little different than what they have seen before.  I'm not selling denver short because I have backed them against new england +3.5 and +3.5 at san diego but i think they come up short this week. 

on the offensive side flacco played brilliantly against minnesota, a very tough d and should be able to handle the looks denver will give him.  orton is a solid qb and has played well but I think he might struggle in some key situations in such a hostile environment.

The Broncos have impressively won close games while Baltimore has lost close games. For Baltimore to win they need to be able to run against the top rated Broncos run defense. If Ray Rice has at least 75 rushing yards the Ravens chances increase to 70 percent, but if he is held under 75 the Ravens win just 41 percent. Turnovers are also a major key. Kyle Orton only has 1 INT this year. If Orton throws no interceptions the Broncos are favorites with a 57 percent chance. If Orton throws 1 or more INTs the Ravens are favored by 63 percent.

Looks like there is some rain in the forecast.  How will this affect your take on this game?

This is about the biggest "No Play" game this year to for me.  But with that said I'm still really looking forward to it, can't wait to see what happens between these two playoff teams (IMO) but if I had to play it I would take Bal -2.5 (hook)

I rather stay away from this.  Both teams are coming off a bye and Ravens are hungry to get back and win their division.  In the meantime, you have the shocking undefeated Broncos looking to keep their streak going.  If I had to choose though I would go with Ravens; Ravens sees this game as a must-win.  This game means a lot more to the Ravens than the Broncos so expect them to put more heart into this game

Denver's D thus far is giving up something like 11 ppg.  That's solid.  Baltimores legendary D has given up over 21 ppg.

I see no reason not to bet Denver again.  Both teams are coming off a bye week and Denver is still unbeaten.

I'll stay on the wagon and sip the kool-aid until the wheel goes and the juice spills.
