My guesstimate is NYJets-17 Dallas-13

This will be a slow, defensive style game with both teams showing rust caused by the lock-out shortened training period. If they can both avoid costly turnovers it should be a interesting, close game.

i'm thinking   UNDER 41                and Dallas +4.5.      

          Dallas may lose, but they are good enough to give the Jets a Battle.  Dallas and the Jets are about the same type of team in terms of wins.  NYJ fans are MORONS if they think this Jets team is as good as previous years.  The only way this jets team could  be better if if they make the SUPERBOWL.    not gonna happen.   1st round exit for this Jets team probably

Jets better than Cowboys come on

Dallas Cowbillies have the same pass defense, none. All they got on the line is Ware and he's living off a 20 sack season he had what 3 years ago. What game will Ware knock himself out in again? Dallas needs a real head coach, a line that can run block, i don't mean draw plays and a defense that can cover a pass.

As much as i dislike the cowboys i think they have a shot here in this game ..The Jets just don't score enough to blow anyone away and usually find themselves in tight games ...Romo could get comeback player of the year this year and I am a firm believer that With Philly already penciled in as the east division champion that maybe a team like the cowboys fly under the radar and give them a run for the division ..there is always pressure in big D but maybe this year not so much with the eagles getting all the hype...look for this team to win 9 or 10 this year and look for an upset here against the jets .

I am a Jets fan homer... but I am sure the Jets win and cover.... they'll blow it next week against the Jaguars....

Romo can't take pressure and now he knows he can be hurt. When he sees a free man coming at him he's getting rid of the ball, ready or not.

Love my Cowboys, but they are in a bad spot here.  This is a solid Jets team with a new weapon in Plax.  Plax has given Dallas corners a fit over the years, and last year big receivers killed the Dallas corners for big plays.  Newman is out, Jenkins is doubtful.  That leaves Dallas with shakey starting corners in Scandrick, Ball, etc.  If Jets go 3-wide Dallas is far outmatched besides the fact they are outgunned even in a base look. 

Also the Cowboys' o-line will be completely different...only Kosier and Free back.  Now with the top rookie Smith doubtful, it's down to a tackle who wasn't even breaking 3rd string last year.  Mix in new players as Costa and Nagy and you have some serious line difficulties against a game defense.  Dallas will be improved, but it won't be for this game.  And with it being the 10th anniversary of 9/11, playing in New York, and a night game...OUCH.  Jets roll by 7+.

With all of the 9-11 emotions running high in New York, and this being the nationally televised night game - this game is shaping up to be the upset of the week. I see it low scoring, and 5.5 just might be the difference..........
