Manning,s numbers in the super bowl wern't all that great and the defense kept Cam in check throughout the game to get the Broncos the victory.. Super Bowl winners usually do well in their first game the following year. If their new QB can put a couple of scores on the board the defense can do the rest. Broncos are 7-1 ats in Thursday night games. I can't explain much more until I see how these teams come out of the pre season battles. Still time to change my mind but right now I'm leaning Denver.

Yep Trevor Siemian isn't going to put up enough points and the defenses look to be about equal. Cam will be the difference on Thursday night.

Going against some strong trends. That last pre season win by the Panthers against the Steelers was quite impressive. They get their revenge.

Broncos enters Thursday's game with a 42-13-1 (.759) all-time record in home openers, including a 15-1 mark in its last 16 such games (since 2000 is 7-2 in its last nine season openers (since 2007).

A few things to keep in mind.. Peyton was under center, knew he just had to limit mistakes/manage game flow. Also Benjamin will make a difference for Cam. Cam also had his worst QB Rating of all last year in that game. The thin air for the opening game will make a difference but I'm still leaning CAR. If this game was in CAR, the line would be -5 CAR

Who cares what the season opener record is? This reminds me of the 98 NFC championship game when Falcons beat Minny and of course they played the opener the following season and Vikes took out their revenge. Even though like most I was ok seeing Peyton ride off a champion but last years SB just smelled funny afterward, as if Carolina's D wasn't just as good all year with the better, younger, QB afraid to jump on the ball that was his IN THE FREAKIN' SB!! Anyway conspiracies aside as if these guys don't make enough $, I also heard the more ya got, the more ya want, whatever...
I'd like to try and tackle both sides of this one but being the first that matters tells me there will be many more the rest of the season because I kinda like the Under as well as I'm seeing this final being something like 23-16. However I'll just worry about one play to come in n' hope it hits - Orange Crushed -- Panthers -3
