    Carolina - 24                            Arizona - 14

    Panthers -4                          under 38;5

I feel like the Panthers are the right side, however, the Cards have been covering the spread even w/back-up QB's.

    I know two things:

    1. The public loves to bet on Cam Newton

    2. Cam Newton is not a good bet

ARI being disrespected AGAIN by the oddsmakers, wow was this team a money maker this year.

ARI one more time, hopefully they win SU so I can back them next week too

That third string QB is God awful though. I took AZ at home getting 10 against Seattle and it was as total joke, and that was out doors on real turf away from Seattle. It was a total blowout.
Unless that QB went thru some kind of speed course or Stanton comes back, I've got to pass on this one.

The Cardinals have been a good bet all year... but I think the wheels are coming off now. Lindley sucks and their defense can only hold its own for so long until they become tired. Cardinal offense doesn't stay on the field that long. I just see Carolina chewing up the clock and controlling the time of possession battle with a heavy dose of Jonathan Stewart. Carolina's defense has picked it up. And if the Cardinals had trouble against the Seahawks then what makes me think they can fare any better against this resurgent Panther defense?

I don't know if Carolina covers this game as they haven't really blown out anyone at home... but I think Cam Newton gets his first postseason win. last year's playoffs should be a learning experience for the Panthers where youth and hype got to their heads. they played undisciplined football against the 49ers but I think this time will be different.

Panthers win by at least a touchdown

    20-13, Panthers -6 and the Under 38

Sip on that plus money honey!

Can't help myself, lovin' Carolina in this one.  Digitalkarma is almost right but I would emend what he says to, Cards were a great bet most of the year.  Not any more.  Panthers have put it together, and are at home.

Are you kidding me.. if carolina was in arizonas division they would be the last team on the list.. Carolina isn't hot nor good. They were lucky that new orleans and atlanta did poorly this year. Give me az and the cardinals by a bunch.

    Predictions az 28-16

I think the clock has struck midnight on the Cards...they should sign Kurt Warner outta retirement for the playoffs...I'd give them a better chance of springing the upset w/ him off the couch than w/ Lindley under center...all that being said, the birds still boast a good D, & Jon Stewart ain't Marshawn Lynch, although Greg Olsen should present issues over the middle.  Final analysis: PASS.

Gotta ride teams who have peaked going into the playoffs, and Carolina have done just that, even with a losing record.
Cards are hard pressed with their 3rd string QB,and see nothing but
    problems for the Cards offensively.
Laying the points with Carolina in this one.

be real if you give the ball to a 15 year old to throw it he can have success if his o line are preforming.. this isn't a one man game this is an entire team game and one hand does not clap.. az gets it done because of how bad they want it

Hey guys...hope you all have been winning big

I have been away from Covers for a LONG time (been overseas) and am back in the States for a while...thought I would add my thoughts...please don't let my write-up influence you...betting NFL games is a crazy proposition and we all know ANYTHING can happen...but this is how I see this match-up:

As we know, it all starts with the QB and Lindley has really struggled the past few weeks...he is young, inexperienced and a #3 QB...
so a big advantage here goes to the Panthers as Cam is a seasoned vet who has played in big games before....Lindley does not have a great running game to support him as Arizona averages 82 yards rushing a game (compared to 127 for Carolina)...if you saw the Atlanta game, you know how physical the Carolina front four is...the Carolina back seven is also very good and not many of us thought their D would hold Atlanta to three points....Kuechly is a big difference maker and impact player and Charles Johnson has 8.5 sacks this year coming off the edge...what I saw in that game was a physical whipping from the Carolina defense...I think it will be tough for Arizona to get points in this game...very tough...

Carolina can run the ball well with Cam and Stewart... the O-Line play has been a key to their 4-game win streak...they controlled the LOS against Atlanta...
yes, the Panthers lack a high-quality #1 WR but Benjamin is coming along and both he and Olsen have over 1000 yards receiving this year...they are a physical well-balanced offense...

I think Bruce Arians is a sensational coach but I don't believe he has the horses and fire power to win this game...I know Arizona has a fine defense with Todd Bowles running it but I don't think that will be enough...if this game was in Arizona and Carson Palmer was the starting QB, I would very likely go with Arizona...but it's not!

While Arizona has lost by a combined score of 55-23 the last two weeks, Carolina has won four straight by an average score of 28-11 (including blowing out their divisional rivals on the road)...on Saturday, they will not be on the road but be at home in front of their fans...this is a huge asset!...I realize they won two close games at home against TB & Cleveland (and would not have covered an eight point spread) but that won't mean a whole lot when the ball is kicked off on Saturday...

I think Carolina wins big here...I think their D will stack the line to shut down the Cards running game and force Lindley to beat them with his arm and thus force him into mistakes...their defense is too fast and physical for a young QB to contend with on the road...if Carolina gets a lead and Arizona has to become one-dimensional, it will get ugly like it did in Atlanta because Lindley will wind up on his back like Matt Ryan did...I think Cam and the Panthers are very hungry and will feed off the crowd...

    Arizona 13    Carolina 38

Again, anything can happen and I could be 1000% wrong so don't let me influence your play...but I see a lot of mismatches here...and football is a game of match-ups and adjustments...and I like the team who is at home and has won four straight, has the better QB, can run the football better and play very physical defense...

Hope you win all your bets! Best of

I feel that the QB is the general of the team and Arizona is without a general. Carolina has been playing very well the last several weeks and now have a big game at home in front of their fans. 6 or 7 points maybe to many so I would tease to even. Carolina will run the ball a lot with Steward and control the clock. If Cam plays conservative they should win a close one.

Are kidding me ??! Every one of your predictions are the visiting teams to upset the home team in the playoffs.

All four playoff games this week have the home team favored to win and you like Detroit, Baltimore, Arizona and Cincy to upset each home team ??
What crystal ball are you looking into ?
