Why was Trump deplatformed from social media?

Can anyone present a decent answer to this question? Obviously you need to use exact quotes when presenting your argument. 

I believe the real reason he was deplatformed is because he would have been tweeting tremendous tweets at Joe Biden and the Democrats for 4 years. And his tweets would be so true and brutal that it honestly could become a national security issue. I think intelligence agencies met with Twitter, Facebook etc and they all came to the conclusion that it would be best to silence him. 

Please use exact quotes. It’s very easy for everyone to find exactly what was said on Jan 6. 

Deplatforming the leader of a political party is about as anti-democracy as you can get.

Simply, Trump has been banned from social media for repeatedly violating their policies which is long overdue.  But censoring Trump isn't about free speech.  First amendment is intended to constrain government power.  So when private companies censor speech, they aren't subject to constitutional constraint.  Courts have consistently rejected free speech arguments in favor of protecting the rights of social media companies to operate websites however they want.

Since you claim it happened “repeatedly”, surely you can list a few examples of Trump violating their policies … right?

Trump and many others now have been banned from social media because those who control the public narrative control minds. It is why Hitler placed so much value on the propaganda ministry in Germany run by Goebbels. The Nazis could get away with the big lie if they simply repeated it over and over again as there was nobody to contest it in the public square.

Not only have people on the political right been banned but so too real journalists from the left like Glenn Greenwald and now Chris Hedges...Hedges a few days ago on the Jimmy Dore show stated that the social media platforms are public utilities and so therefore should not be allowed to censor people.

The counter argument made is that they are private companies and yet they are protected from lawsuits by individuals by the federal government and they can't be sued...they can't be allowed to have their cake and eat it too. If they are private companies then they should be allowed to be sued without governmental protection and those whose rights have been buggered have a right to redress their grievances. 

Free speech is the cornerstone of any free people and anyone who supports the right of social media companies to interfere with that right constitutes a violation of freedom of speech. The modern day left is very fascistic in this regard IMO. I was a lifelong leftist for decades but now no longer as these modern day tyrants are beneath my contempt.

If you want him, or anyone, going to some sketchy 3rd party archive of tweets, that's between you all.

Also, you would be surprised how easy it is to be "deplatformed" from a social media site. I, for one, do not care to comb through archived tweets but I can promise you I have seen tweets and retweets, mostly retweets, that violate terms of service.

Now that's not me saying I think he should have been banned. Just acknowledging how easy it is to violate terms of service on these sites.
