Why does Trump oppose full disclosure of the Epstein files?

     That's the key. 

If I was a gambling man - say with a penchat for making correct predictions far more often than wrong - I would surmise the real reason trump flip-flopped

is because

he got (or forced) his goose-stepping team of accomplices to ASSURE him that HIS NAME and those of close associates **WILL BE** heavily redacted - thus making the files virtually worthless, except possibly for trump *IF* Democrat names might be in there and - shocking surprise!!! -  NOT redacted by trump's fascist team...

  Of course, that sham will happen (heavy redaction) assuming the files are even released at all regardless the passing of the Bill and trump signing it -  as trump can simply have Pam Bondi and Patel declare the ongoing investigation into Democrats wrongdoing means the case files CAN NOT be released until their extensive  - several months to 3 year investigation is concluded..... And trump could then say HE did the right thing signing the bill but it's all out of his hands and the DOJ must conduct their deep, deep, DEEP investigation (which may drag out for years! wink! wink!)

That's exactly what is gonna happen. People don't understand con artists always have a backup plan. He's had 11 months to release files but didn't. He knew today's vote was gonna go against him, so that's why he said release them. Also the biggest thing is, if he didn't care about files being released, why did he summon the house members to the situation room in ordered to be pressured into changing their votes. That's what anybody with even a tiny brain should be asking themselves.

The Epstein files remind me a lot of the Russia Collusion hoax.  You Democrats desperately want something to be there, but there isn't anything.   But you all keep digging anyway , just hoping to keep the topic front and center for all of America to see.

ABSOLUTELY!   And it makes sense too since it is afterall about a despicable CRIME against children. So they should be released.  

That said, even a passing of the Bill does not mean it will happen.  Personally I am NOT AT ALL optimistic  that we will soon see *ALL* the full and complete UNredacted Epstein files, or any. (although I truly hope it happens)

Because if the asshole-rapist/convicted felon and/or his MAGA accomplices have any fear at all about what is contained in the files, then we can bet HEAVILY on it that the files WILL BE heavily redacted  for all rebpublican names, for sure .... AND/OR ....trump's DOJ will prevent the release of the files due to an investigation (demanded by trump, which Bondi acknowledged)

Allowing his own DOJ to withhold the files claiming an "ongoing investigation" would give himself, his accomplices and all conservative members of Congress cover for allegingly "doing the right thing" but that it's all out of their hands now due to an investigation.... By cheating this way, the republicans can immorally gain the high ground and wipe their collective hands free....

 Certainly, Trump and his DOJ have the absolute authority at this Epstein Files. There is a reason why Trump suddenly flipped to release the files. 

It may take another Democrat presidency to get to the bottom of it, or maybe never?

Why Biden administration couldn't release the files?  Epstein survivors have questioned non action to release the files from 5 administrations already. 

Even if democrats want to release Epstein files, justice department normally does not release sensitive information without court approval.  Judges have a duty to protect rights of individuals and ongoing investigations.  For years, Epstein case was an open criminal investigation until 2025.

Wouldn't that exactly falls into Bondi DOJ's prerequisite on the release of the files, or pretty much just releasing heavily redacted files which would indulge those involved key persons. We will see within approximate 30 days if Pres. Trump signs.

I didn't do anything to make them wanna leave, I didn't conduct or pay the survey - and I has almost the same stake in this particular subject as you do - where do you think the majority of those were to go to if they decided to leave? - Hint: it isn't South America or Africa

Trump kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-lago in 2007. Hakeem Jefferies invited Epstein to a fund raiser in 2013. In 2019 Stacey Plaskett teams up with Epstein via texting during hearing to get Trump. 

BUT, BUT, Epstein isTrump's buddy!! Way too commical. 

And then the switch to; "Their gonna redact the bad stuff!!!" AGAIN, WAY TOO COMMICAL. Biden Admin legal team had those files for four years under lock and key. THEY KNOW what's in there. No way to redact that which is already known. And if bad shit about Trump was in there it would have anonymously reached the New York Times years ago.

Are you telling me that Epstein went after Trump the same year he died in a prison cell with guards and surveillance all over the place - committing “suicide” - where the guards didn’t check that particular night to a man they had on suicide watch - and Trump was president at the time ? And you thought to bring that up as defendance for Trump - you can hear it yourself can’t you

And what justice is that? A release of known Epstein communications? OK I guess. But how many people that may have had just a business relationship not knowing Epstein's true self get their name dragged through the mud by being mentioned in the files? Seems to me the victims telling their stories is enough.

And why didn't Biden Admin release the "files"? This answer can be partially found in several courts that had documents sealed. It was, and is, a legal nightmare to untangle. 

Back in 2019 a New York Federal Judge (appointed by Clinton no less) closed the case after Epstein's death but had the victims tell their stories first. That was the right thing to do, IMO. Then after this the FBI posted a request to anyone else who wished to come forward and tell their story. 

So as far a justice Epstein eluded that by killing himself.
