Most people there were representitives of millions of Americans who thought the election was not on the up and up. Many states illegally changed their voting laws and procedures. Michigan's Secretary of State illegally put out a memo to those examining and counting mailed in ballots to "presume" signatures match is one of many examples. Trump said "March to the Capitol and peacefully protest." You wouldnt think so by all that's said. Ray Epps encourged the illegal act of entering the Capitol and yet was thanked by the J6 committee. The committee refuses to release the videos that show Capitol Police taking pics with protesters in the Capitol and basically giving tours. NBC; The House Jan. 6 committee concluded that the FBI and other federal security agencies could have prevented a violent mob from overrunning the Capitol had they acted on the large volume of intelligence collected beforehand, the chief investigator told NBC News in an exclusive interview — a judgment the committee left out of its televised hearings and final report.

The Michigan secretary of state violated this law, and thus the U.S. Constitution, when she instead set up a website where people could request an absentee ballot.
In Wisconsin, state law prohibits the use of unmanned drop boxes for ballots. Nevertheless, the non-legislative Wisconsin Elections Commission and other local officials unconstitutionally created hundreds of drop boxes to collect absentee ballots, including the use of unmanned drop boxes

Investigations have debunked those conspiracy theories. First, no evidence of stolen election as Trump claims. Secondly, states legally changed election procedures to make voting easier during covid pandemic. Third, Trump was impeached for other rhetoric inciting violence. For example, "if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country." Fourth, witnesses confirm Epps story of trying to discourage violence and leaving before the violence began. Fifth, video doesn't prove police allow protesters to enter capital. Besides, ignorance of the law is no excuse for crimes.
