yes, this is a product of dysfunction you have people in congress who are terrified of what a vote against this would look like in an opponent's 30 second TV ad when explaining why this is a bad law might take five minutes and therefore is not possible during the kinds of campaigns we have today with all the misinformation and low attention spans they deal with.
so, these guys get elected and priority number 1 is job preservation while doing something that is forward looking for taxpayers and the country is nowhere on the list of priorities.
Real, consequential change seems impossible at this point, I expect a complete breakdown in DC if Hillary wins.Trump movement isn't going anywhere and wiill take sore losing to a new level, plus she'll be seen as a fraud. We ain't seen nothing yet i'm afraid. hope I'm wrong
You bring up an interesting point here of what will happen when trump loses. You have this emotional GOP voting base that got converted into trump supporters along with some of the dems, and basically anyone that fears progress. So you have this vile rhetoric by trump fanning the flames of racists, bigots and idiots into increased tension and hostility and trump era violence.
So when trump loses, where will these people and all of their strong emotions go? Trump was able to identify the mindless foxnews anti-Obama, talking head propaganda followers that were the GOP voting majority and was able to hijack this GOP majority group. So I'm thinking they are right for the picking by anyone that can make trump statements filled with emotion and void of substance as this is what trump's low information supporters will follow.
But who will be the face of this low information uneducated GOP majority movement that educated whites and sensible GOP have seperated themselves from?
scary to think about what happened but I don't even know how will gather up these lemmings after trump loses. It is possible that they will continue to follow him, maybe he goes third party and is the trump party. Not sure

If Donald Trump wins , violence will erupt in the streets..according to rapper and activist Tef Poe....Tef Poe is now serving as a top leader in the group Black Lives Matter.He is also the co-founder of the Hands Up United organization out of Ferguson, Missouri.
He took to Twitter to say:
“Dear white people if Trump
wins young n****s such as myself are fully hell bent on inciting riots
everywhere we go. Just so you know.”
“Trump wins aint no more rules fammo. We’ve been too nice as is.”

This is how insane it's become, this idiot actually believes that the victims of 911 don't have the right to sue a government that killed their loved ones... Congress wasn't completely lame ..they acted quickly..... 11 days after the attacks claimed more than 2,700 lives, Congress
created a $7 billion fund to compensate 5,562 family members of the
fallen. Payments went to widows and widowers, children and parents.
slim, that's the answer. if the families of 9/11 victims haven't been compensated enough, our government should pay them. it would be great, and justified, if we could make saudi arabia pay, but i don't see how we do that without exposing our country and our military to much greater liability and lawsuits down the road
and where should this money come from? take it out of foreign aid we give to saudi arabia and similar countries.
