I won big with the Rays playing them on the ML in Games five and six and winning a series bet on them. All of my post-season losses have been in going against the Brewers (that's been a disaster as you can see from record above) and all of the wins were in playing on Tampa (which has been great but not enough to make up for the 2* SD and LAD picks). So something has to give.
PENDING:
1* Rays To Win World Series +181
I haver a pending play posted during the AL Series on Tampa winning the World Series and I'm riding that theme here.
Game 1:
1* Rays +135
The key to this bet is the starting pitchers. Drew Rasmussen is a better bet than Misiorowski. The Miz seems arm-tired and can't get five innings right now. In his last nine starts he's gone a collective 44 innings (less than five a start). Rasmussen in his last nine has gone over 58 innings (6+ per start). Miz's short starts haven't hurt Milwaukee because their bullpen doesn't give up runs, but can you realistically say that will continue? Rasmussen is best pitcher in AL and Miz in NL and have clone-line records. Drew is 18-5 and Miz 16-5. Rasmussen has been better the last two months: he has an awesome 1.38 ERA in that run while Misiorowwski is 2.25 (still great).
Milwaukee hasn't played since last Wednesday and that may have dulled its momentum. It's rare you actually get the two best teams in MLB in the World Series and these two have the best W-L records AND the best ROI. Even if you believe this is a 50-50 series, the wise bet is to take the extra money with the dog.

Any reason why Milwaukee is -180 for the Series? Line makes no sense. These teams mirror each other. I don't see an edge in anything really from both teams. I'm a Rays fan and have been watching their games all year. They are a real good team. Unfortunately that line is telling you Milwaukee is going to win the series.

The Brewers competed primarily vs. National League teams while the Rays competed primarily vs. American League teams. The Rays went a great 71-44 vs. the weak AL but only 27-21 vs. the NL. Meanwhile the Brewers trashed both leagues, going 72-43 vs. the NL and 31-16 vs. the AL. The Brewers played 16 series vs. American League teams and won 13 of them, including going a perfect 6-0 since the middle of June.
To reach the World Series, the Rays dispatched the Aaron Judge-less Yankees and the long on grit but short on talent Cleveland team. Meanwhile the Brewers had to first contend with the only team in baseball that was hotter than they were over the last two months, the Padres. Then they had to play the 100-win Dodgers and we know what happened there.
The -180 series price actually does make sense. Plenty high enough to scare off those who were looking to cash in on the Brewers after witnessing what they did to the Dodgers, and plenty high enough to reel in those who feel that this strong Rays team is worth a bet at +160 or +165.
