I’m looking for ideas from the GOP’s brain squad:
Matt Gaetz (crickets, unless it involves sex trafficking)

Gym Jordan (crickets, unless it involves sexy wrestling)

Dennis Hastert (dead groomer, still worshipped by the GOP)

Donerd Drump (secessionist, traitor, idiot who is no longer useful)

Margarine Did Your Tailor (traitor, racist, space lasers and aliens)

Lauren Bonerbart (When she’s not poisoning customers with subpar food, she poisons them with childish rhetoric)

Mitt Romney (declawed, defanged by useless idiots who never passed a bill in their lives)

Senate and white house are expected to oppose House republicans proposal to rollback extra funding previously approved for Internal revenue service.  Problem is that IRS has been under resourced for years.  Funding spread over 10 years would help replace retiring employees, modernize technology and improve customer service.  Inadequate tax revenue is one of the reasons for US failure to repair infrastructure and the most income inequality of any country in the world.

    I say bullshit.

#1; The IRS audits the poor 5 times more than any other group, https://www.cbsnews.com/news/irs-audit-eitc-five-times-as-likely-to-get-audited/

If they're so understaff how do they have the time to chase small potatoes?

#2; I have worked for government all my life. Everywhere I worked, when a person retires that position is already budgeted unless there were cuts made in advance. You don't need more money for positions already budgeted.

#3. The IRS wants to monitor any transaction at the $600 level and above. This includes PayPal, etc. And monitor your own bank account. This is desperation to squeeze the citizens of every dollar. Hell, they even wanted to lower the $1200 threshold for casino jackpots that has been in place since the 1970's.

#4. Despite mainstream media portraying Rupublicans as allowing tax cheats, the Republicans see no need to 87,000 armed irs agents--see #1-- to further put the squeeze on tax payers who support this country. Democrats need to learn to spend less.

The Senate and Biden will never consider any bill the house puts forth.

So the House must go all in, scorched earth, on nothing but impeachments and investigations.

Misleading claim about hiring 87,000 armed tax agents have been debunked by Reuters, politifact, associated press, statesman and New York times fact checking.  87,000 is the total number of employees and not just tax collectors.  Only about 2000 would be armed special agents investigating crimes.  Under increased IRS funding, additional audits are far more likely to target rich taxpayers instead of the poor.  Number of audits would be restored to 2010 level and same number of employees as in the 1990s.

Absolutely! an_clap   We need stronger collection & enforcement. HUGE PROBLEM that has existed for decades.

Under the IRA, the increased funding will be allocated as follows:

    • $45.6b for enforcement, which includes examinations, collections, criminal investigations, legal and litigation support, and digital asset monitoring
    • $25.3b for operations support, including legacy information technology systems and telecommunications
    • $4.8b for business systems modernization, including technology to improve customer service
    • $3.2b for taxpayer services, including pre-filing assistance and education, filing and account services, and funding for the Taxpayer Advocate Service.

an_lightMore than half of the 80 billion going towards ENFORCEMENT. an_light

Only the leeches who fail to succeed and live off of the government (tax payers money) like this. Am sure they are many here.

Let me walk you through the 2010 play book.

    House led by bonehead..

Senate within ideology very neutral. Lions McCain and Ted Kennedy still in charge of the fringes to centum...

You see you don't have to go back a century...

    Just think a decade...

The do nothing house shut down government...and all the over sight to what these citizens do.... They collaborate behind closed doors to cement control..

But then they don't agree in anyone's direction...

    A stall.

Kick the can till more ducks I. A row form

Trump had a house Senate and presidency...

What trump towers profited small school?

Now a speaker ship day one took a week and if things take 7 times as long I'll brand you an ipti.ist optimistic reflexion... But the ground and pound Rino's in the republican minority faction who idealogically hates the united states will stop all legislation....

There friends are units Russia north Korea and china ideology.... In league with dictators.

First things first, gotta start repairing all the damage done or attempted over the last 2 years.

It's nice to see the adults back in charge of the House.

If that’s your explanation of “policy” proposals, you’re more brain dead than the MAGA Dotard who thought he could take all the classified docs he wanted to Florida and then just lie lie lie about it.

Starting to think we should just rename the election deniers “0 for 64,” which is Trump’s election lawsuit record in courts (which consider things like “facts,” and “evidence”.)

    @UNIMAN

You asked “If they're so understaff how do they have the time to chase small potatoes?”

Yet, you claim to have a solid understanding of government, having claimed to have worked for the government for 15 years. What government have you worked for? Which department?

Your total inability to see the Ocaam’s “so simple” Razor answer either screams total naïveté or willful ignorance. Frankly, it’s hard to decipher whether you’re being intentionally obtuse and arguing in bad faith, or if you’re just a blithering idiot. Please do tell, good sir

You know it’s funny, 18 responses before this one and no substantive legislative proposals for the House GOP. Dare I say their agenda is hot flaming trash?

    GOP plan:

let the country default by refusing to raise debt ceiling, despite record deficit spending when Trump was president

Part 2 of plan: blame Biden
