    I got vaccinated to make my parents happy. I got the J+J and I was extremely sick for 2 days.

    There will definitely be side effects discovered as we go forward.

    Big law firms are already starting to build data.

    They’ll say you signed a waiver.

    The big law firms will argue that people were forced. ‘Do it or lose your job’ isn’t a choice.

    Corporations will say they were following CDC recommendations.

    All fingers will point back at the government.

    Should be interesting.

    This is the first Messenger RNA vaccine for humans. To compare it to previous vaccines is of course Apples to Oranges.

    I too took the J & J only because of my age and known comorbidities. It is a traditional viral splice technology rather than mRNA.

    I endorse it too for those who may be vulnerable. If your young, healthy, non-smoker see no reason to get vaccinated. Your choice!! TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR, YOU DECIDE.

    Same with a mask. Cloth masks IMO are jokes. N95 actually do something when properly worn. When I see someone with an N95 on I have respect for them, they are truly trying to protect themselves.

    Everybody can catch it, spread it.

    And going to say this again, IMO, this virus takes it course in different regions at different times despite human attempts at controlling it. Really believe Florida has proven that. In 2020 July & August was bad for Florida, same for 2021 at a bigger pace. Yet it recently dropped off like a rock with no government mandates, people living lives as normal as possible, football stadiums full of people, etc.  It didn't "run out of fuel" as some have tried to claim. There are plenty more Floridians for the next wave. Now Michigan, Minnesota, New York, to name a few are seeing it rise. Will it shoot up like last Nov.? Time will tell.

    I don't think you'll have long-term side effects with the J&J, as it is a traditional, though spliced, vaccination. The mRNA vaccinations are another story. We don't know. There is no way humanly possible to know. And anyone who says they are 100% safe with no future side effects is talking out of their arse. We just have to wait and see. Two years. Five years. Ten, twenty, ect.

    Haha... actually Baish that comment was 110% satire... spend any amount of time here in this sub and you'll quickly find FUPA and his triumphant trio of cut & paste botards are as partisan as a crowd you'll ever find.  They are completely absent of any ability to think critically or have any logical debate on any topic at hand.  It was funny cause WS is a mod and asked FUPA to do something that is inherent in his nature and is devoid of any ability to do or think otherwise.

    I was having a discussion yesterday about the topic of someone having and spreading the virus and not even knowing they have it or are spreading. If someone is battling the virus with their immune system would they even know they have it if the body defeats it, or if they got a vacc but still the virus enters the body only to be defeated, how do we know that people cannot spread in either example and have zero idea they are doing so? And what happens when these cocktails die off and the body cant block it completely but it is enough to keep it from doing severe damage yet you can still spread? I am not going along with the no spread satire, I think that is wishful thinking and cannot be proven to any degree outside of speculation.

    Oh and there is respectful, responsible, interesting, interactive on topic political debate and then there is garbage name calling, political finger pointing crap...the reply I made was that we NEVER want ANY discussion to turn into insult laden, tirade generating partisan throw up, it is against the rules and it is useless. So if that point was not understood (I have no idea how that is even possible) I will clarify the obvious.

    Again, the offenders at hand have ZERO interest in anything resembling "responsible, interesting or interactive".  This is cream of the crop cut & paste crowd we are talking about.... fact checkers they like to call themselves an_roll_laugh You can present a perfectly reasonable & just question to any of the trio.  One of innocence and intrigue.  One that incites healthy discussion and debate....and you will be met with what you experienced or just another cut & paste diarrhea of a post.

    I agree we don't really know enough on viral spread, "superspreader" individuals or events. In Michigan the Department of Natural Resources has identified whitetail deer as having been exposed to COVID by detecting anti-bodies. So how does wild whitetail deer come in contact with COVID??? Bats maybe?? Other animals? Could be many human infections do not even involve humans to begin with.

    You can avoid replying in that case, it does not help anything and if they break the rules they get boxed just like your side does. In fact we do and have let more go on in this forum than any other area of the site...maybe so much that the area might not be on the site forever.

    Something else I found interesting;

    From the CDC website;

    Mink-to-human spread of SARS-CoV-2 has been reported in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Poland, and new data suggest it might have occurred in the United States.

    • Investigations found that mink from a Michigan farm and a small number of people were infected with SARS-CoV-2 that contained unique mink-related mutations (changes in the virus’s genetic material). This suggests mink-to-human spread might have occurred.

    Recent experimental research shows that many mammals, including cats, dogs, bank voles, ferrets, fruit bats, hamsters, mink, pigs, rabbits, racoon dogs, tree shrews, and white-tailed deer can be infected with the virus. Cats, ferrets, fruit bats, hamsters, racoon dogs, and white-tailed deer can also spread the infection to other animals of the same species in laboratory settings.

    A number of studies have investigated non-human primates as models for human infection. Rhesus macaques, cynomolgus macaques, baboons, grivets, and common marmosets can become infected with SARS-CoV-2 and become sick in a laboratory setting. There is some evidence suggesting that laboratory mice, which could not be infected with original strains of SARS-CoV-2, can be infected with new virus variants.

    Chickens and ducks do not seem to become infected or spread the infection based on results from studies.

    The CDC says; Currently, there is no evidence that mink (or other animals) play a significant role in the spread of SARS-CoV-2 to people. And more studies are needed.

    To say "significant" is leaving it wide open IMO, a broad definition to say the least. The mink mutation seen in humans is eye opening.

    So the idea we can eradicate the virus should be thrown out. With animal vectors it will always be with us. And animal mutations may be driving some of the variants that pop up. Still puzzled how a whitetail deer in the wild has contact with COVID? Obviously it spreads by means we really don't know.

    Can you imagine a political party who decides that the hill it wants to die on is illegally forcing its fellow citizens to get injections and wear facemasks?

    I don’t know if i have ever seen such a losing issue or strategy in politics.

    can u imagine anyone dumb enuf to think that 9-11 was completely staged by the us government including bringing down both towers , killing thousands of americans including first responders , attacking the pentagon , killing more , and sending a 4th plane on another suicide mission straight for the capitol to kill everyone in their own administration ??

    i don’t know if i have ever heard of such insane beliefs anywhere on this planet . its even worse than chump himself

    Sweden halts use of Moderna's COVID vaccine in under 30s

    It said the pause should initially be in force until December 1, explaining that it had received evidence of an increased risk of side effects such as inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis) and inflammation of the pericardium (pericarditis).
