I said keep it to the topic at hand and if you feel so strongly go start a thread about them
I'd never say another's life is more important than others
That true American you speak of is the miniority b'c he never was a TRUE American (one who doesn't discriminate due to skin, or religion) a nation built on the Constitiution
I'm as American as you
I'm in no way riled up about the conflict in the middleast as I am toward idiots who sterotype 1.2 billion people b'c of actions of a few...
Generalizing the terriorists as muslims/arabs as opposed to the radicals muts they are is unacceptable to me and that's my main issue here
If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell you
And I'm shocked you'd assume that I devalued Korean lives due to that post it in no way stated that they're inferior
My allegiances lie w/ the America who follows the Constitiution and not the sterotyping idiots who think just b'c their White they're the true "America" b'c they're wrong...
How do you know what race I am by anything I typed? Just because I questioned your ideology, I'm automatically white? Let me guess, you assume I'm a republican as well? I must have voted for George Bush, right? Clearly, I voted for John McCain as well, correct?
I will make the general statement that I "follow" and know the ins and outs of the Constitution as much if not more than you do. You can call it an assumption if you like, but until you prove me otherwise, I think it is a pretty safe bet. If you prove me otherwise (I am willing to accept there is a possibility) more power to you. I would just be extremely surprised, but I'll leave it at that.
The original point of my repost, (which has been lost because you can not see the entire chain on Covers) was the question of where was all of the anger/activism over the similar issue that occurred involving South/North Korea. You, and you alone jumped to the conclusion that you valued the life of Koreans less than Palestinians. The only point that was raised was why so much backlash and anger over the Israeli/Palestinian confrontation, and so much silence over the North/South Korea confrontation.
I would love to hear the answer to that. Again, I don't question your allegiance to Palestine, more power to you. But call a spade a spade. Realize that the unwavering support that you show for another "country"/region of the world is in fact an extreme conflict of interest when it comes to supporting what is supposedly your country (America). I don't mean to direct it entirely at you, its just the mindset of too many people in this country right now. I see too many Mexican/Italian/Irish/Brazilian, etc flags flying in my neighbors' yards, and not enough American flags. Back in the 1940's/1950's, calling yourself an American meant something. Now, everyone is a Mexican American, an African American, an Arab American, a Pacific Islander American, etc.
As I posted in another thread, this is history repeating itself all over again. A lot of arguments rationalizing the downfall of the Roman Empire have been made, but the strongest in my mind was the conquering and blending of too many different civilizations which eliminated the identity and pride of being a Roman. Without that identify and pride, a civilization cannot survive, and sadly, I think the days of the end of the American empire are near.
