He is preserving his strategic naval base and port superiority like every super power on earth to ever exist.... Not complicated.

all intelligent people understand at least that much . clearly his actions r not to protect a military base
one says I have reservations... Then the membership will not be approved. Turkey .... Has a special channel with Russia and the west...
