Manhattan prosecutors urge judge to rule on presidential immunity without delay

 

CNN -

Manhattan prosecutors are urging the judge overseeing Donald Trump’s hush money case to rule on the former president’s motion to vacate his conviction.

Prosecutors with the Manhattan district attorney’s office said Judge Juan Merchan should decide Trump’s motion on presidential immunity and not wait until a federal judge considers a separate motion filed by Trump last week to move the case into federal court and stop the state court judge from sentencing Trump until that motion is resolved.

Merchan previously said he will rule on Trump’s challenge to his conviction based on the Supreme Court’s immunity decision on September 16.

Last week Trump’s attorneys asked Merchan to pause his decision over presidential immunity to allow the process in federal court to play out.

This is Trump’s second effort to move the case into federal court.

Courts have ruled Trump is liable for defamation, business fraud, charity fraud, tax evasion, falsifying records to hide election scandal and others. Still pending are cases about  election subversion and documents.  He has a long history of violating laws and escaping justice via countless delays.

I don’t think he was truly convicted otherwise he would be in jail right ? Something is amiss here. Either they forgot to put him behind bars or he really isn’t convicted . Which is it ?

The CONVICTED FELON appeals every judgement against him and then appeals again if/when he loses the first appeal, and yet again if/when he loses that one too.  His legal team is in court making an appeal of the $454 MILLION fraud conviction, which includes his criminal sons Eric and baby Don, as well as his former CEO.  an_popcorn

our legal system allows this unfortunately  with the court system moving agonizingly slow

Hes already dreaming about doing that, including locking up the judge in some prison where nobody will know wheres hes at.

I will never understand how anybody, no matter how much they hated harris, could actually cast a vote for this career criminal con artist.  It still blows my mindpaint_help.  I will never understand this.  Its almost like people voted for him, just to see how much damage he could do to the country.  Well they will soon find out in 16 days.  I wouldnt be surprised if right after getting sworn in, he orders the flag to be raised and screw carter.  Am sure the first thing he will say is how there was 10 million people there lmfaooooo. In trumpys words " A BIG BEAUTIFUL CROWD, THE BIGGEST GATHERING IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE"

Apparently he wants vengeance on the judge who just announced the convicted felon will not face any penalty for the 34 felony count conviction.
