Trumpty-Dumpty had a great fall

It’s been nothing but losing for the creep who *PROMISED*
during his 2016 campaign that there would be so many wins
with him as President that people would “get tired of winning.”

        Fast-forward to Friday when Mike Pompeo —
Trump’s former secretary of state and a possible 2024 GOP
presidential candidate — needled Trump over that very line
ahead of an appearance at the Republican Jewish Coalition:
       “We were told we’d get tired of winning.
      But I’m tired of the losing,”  Pompeo tweeted.
     “And so are most Republicans.”

Pompeo is right. Trump has brought nothing but
a trumpster-dumpster fire full of losses to the GOP.

Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, a Republican
often mentioned as a potential 2024 candidate,
said she did not believe Trump offered
“the best chance” for the party in 2024.

Trump’s own daughter Ivanka said she would not
be involved with his campaign.

Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, a former Trump ally who spoke
at the Jan. 6 incitement-rally that preceded the attack on the
Capitol, put it more bluntly in a phone interview:

    “In 2020, there was no other GOP option.   In 2024
     we will have candidates who are vastly superior and
     will do much, much better competing against the
     Democrat nominee than the LOSER Donald Trump
     has proven himself to be.”

Three *MAJOR* party donors — Stephen Schwarzman,
Ken Griffin and Ronald Lauder — said this week that
they intended to back someone other than Trump or
have no plans to support him this time.

Pence calls out Trump

“President Trump was wrong to give a white nationalist,
an antisemite and a Holocaust denier a seat at the table!"
Pence told NewsNation.
"I think he should apologize for it, and he should denounce
those individuals and their hateful rhetoric without qualification!”

Israel’s returning prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday
he’s still hoping former President Donald Trump will stand up and
condemn antisemitism, and the antisemites — Kanye West and
prominent white supremacist Nick Fuentes — he dined with last
month at Mar-a-Lago.

     Trump’s failure to distance himself from antisemitism —
and those men — is “not merely unacceptable, it’s just wrong,
and I hope he sees his way to staying out of it and condemning it,”
Netanyahu said in an interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

The Israeli prime minister would be wise not to hold his breath.   Trump is a bigot and unlikely to ever do it.

Long Covid responsible for thousands of US deaths, report says, but true numbers are likely much higher!!

Long Covid leaves some people with long-term symptoms,
but it can be deadly, too. It played a part in at least 3,544
deaths in the United States in the first 30 months of the
Covid-19 pandemic, a new report says.

The report is the first official attempt by the US Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health
Statistics to quantify the number of long Covid deaths
in the United States.

Some experts say this finding is probably a significant undercount,
considering that up to 30% of people who get Covid-19 go on to
have long-term symptoms, according to the CDC.

People should take the Covid-19 booster shots.

The vaccines have had decidedly mixed results. The elderly, immuno-compromised and those with comorbities benefited from the vaccines by reduced hospitalizations and deaths. Younger, healthier individuals have seen mixed results, with many reports of side effects including myocarditis, clotting and menstrual changes. This study adds to the information about the vaccines.

So, should you really get the booster?  Obviously, it is not cut-and-dried and depends.

Actually, benefits of vaccines outweigh risks in all age groups.  American pediatric association recommends vaccines for young people.  In the US, there been no vaccine myocarditis death but thousands of covid deaths among people under 30 years of age.  Infection is far more likely to cause myocarditis and blood clots compared to vaccination.  Absurd that anti-vaxxers are more scared of vaccines instead of diseases.  They promote misinformation despite overwhelming scientific consensus that vaccines are safe and effective.
