President Donald Trump suggested that the American sport of football should have a different name, so that soccer, which is called football in nearly every other country, can assume the name. 

Trump's comments came during the World Cup draw in Washington, D.C., on Friday while discussing soccer's growth in the U.S.

America First.  Tell them to change their football to netball.  And leave our football as football. 

I wish he would stay out of sports. Like showing up to high profile events. He probably could not even name 5 players on the Commanders squad-or even the coach's name. Just run the country dude. Fix our economy, prices, schools, bridges,roads, and God knows what else.

Reasonable, it would make more sense because Futbol is the name of the sport everywhere but in the US, unlike basketball where a basket is involved in almost every play a foot is only used in football maybe 10% of plays

 it was actually referred to as tackle ball at one time -the name originates from rugby and soccer ,the English called it football as it had to do with anything played on the ground, and the name has stuck for 5 centuries
