The deluded republican who pulled former Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police officer Michael Fanone into the crowd of violent rioters on January 6, 2021, yelling “I got one!” was sentenced Thursday to 90 months behind bars.

“These were some of the darkest acts on one of (our) darkest days,” district Judge Amy Berman Jackson said before handing down the sentence Thursday.
“He was your prey, he was your trophy,” she said of Fanone, adding later that the officer “was protecting America” that day.

Judge fines a group of Trump lawyers $50,000 each for filing meritless lawsuit against Hillary Clinton

packed full of falsehoods!

Trump uttered his first inaccurate claim about two minutes in:

that his administration “built the greatest economy in the history of the world.”
That was inaccurate even for recent American history!!
Annual average growth, even before the coronavirus pandemic he allowed to decimate the economy, was lower under Presidents Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.

Only two minutes later, Trump ticked off at least 4 hyperbolics about his alleged accomplishments as president.
He pointed to drugs coming across the border at “the lowest level in many, many years.”
**(The total flow of drugs is unknowable.)

He claimed to have “finally attained the impossible dream of American energy independence.”
**(Before Trump took office, the country had been projected to become a net exporter of energy, and it still relies on some imports.)

He said that “no president had ever sought or received one dollar for our country from China,” which handed over “hundreds of billions of dollars” under his administration.
**(His tariffs on Chinese imports have so far raised $161 billion, with much of those tariffs passed onto consumers, and duties had been placed on Chinese imports before he took office.)

And he repeated his perennial falsehood of delivering “the biggest” tax cuts in American history.
