This author pretty much nails it.

Both parties. Neither with any of the average person's interest but rather, vilifying the other for their self-preservation.

I don't see things that way Brows...The Democrats have bent over backwards to try to please the selfish and greedy right wing for over 6 years. Lead by Rush Limberger, along with the bold-face lying Faux News organization.

Until the FCC can regulate certain insults over the airwaves once again, it will get worse until something is done about it.

Radio talk show hosts can say the most vile untruths about a candidate and incumbent's and it carries over.

Like Joe Wilson calling the President of the United States a liar on national and international T.V.     What is a travesty.  He should have been thrown out on his ear that night.

Don, are you serious? The Democrats have bent over backwards?  Have you ever watched MSNBC, talk about spewing insults.

Oh and Joe Wilson was right, Obama is a liar! I'll agree that is was the wrong forum to say so, there should be a level of civility and he crossed the line.

With the responses so far, it is really hard to see how the parties have been so successful in making the sheep think one is so much better than the other.

I have lived long enough Brows and watched  the republican party take politics to the lowest level, and become the replusican party.

Eisenhower was the only decent republican president they ever had in my lifetime.  All the others screwed this country over so bad.

I even wore a " I like Ike " button in the 1950s. Then along came another crook Nixon and it was down hill from there.

"If you like your Doctor, you can keep him. If you like your healthcare plan you can keep it... Barack Hussein Obama, the biggest most baldfaced liar and incompetent president in the history of the U.S.

FOX News - the most trusted news source. "Hands up Don't shoot" taken to task immediately on FOX News while Rev Al ran his mouth about the false narrative from jump on MSNBC. I went into a McDonalds today and CNN was covering Ferguson (again). What else is new? I'm surprised they still weren't covering the missing plane.

Don - you should commit yourself. If you can see you've been made a fool for 6 years running now, I feel sorry for you...

50M on government assistance, your moron wants to make millions of illegals, legally be able to take jobs away from Americans. Can someone buy Don a clue? The Republican party is the only thing standing between the moron and turning us completely into Cuba.

You should try watching Fox News and getting some news once in a while. Are you aware that Hillary has her own server? Are you okay with her telling you what emails she'll release? Is that the country you wish to live in? How about if every government official has their own server and operates like that. Where's the accountability Don? Rev Al been to the White House over 80 times and owes $4M+ in back taxes. He should be in an orange jumpsuit but instead he as the morons ear...

Don't forget that reverand al had two fires that mysteriously destroyed key financial papers.

Ya Don, it's not Hillary, Obama, congressman weiner, Senator chappaquidick... it's the republicans fault.

By the way...Republicans actually punish candidates who get out of line by not reelecting them.

How long was Mary Jo Kopechne's justice forgotten?

How was Senator Kennedy able to continually get re elected after he showed his true colors like that?

Bowlsoup.. Hey Genius, let's stick to those that were proven guilty, not a lynch mob mentality with accusations and innuendos .

Killer_Z  Actually, you have made a clown of yourself with your postings over the years.  Saying that " Faux News is the most trust news source " is the epitome of ignorance .

What would it take for you to wake the phuq up and see them for who they truly are?

    This is priceless.

I start a thread about people being hypocritically partisan and what do I get?

    Hypocritical partisanship.

Throw away the remote, Faux, MSNBC, drudgereport, thinkprogress, etc. and learn to think for yourselves.

    Wow.

Brows, I not hypocritical . I have stated what I believe for years. I may be partisan but that's because the right will not negotiate, as evidenced by the past 6 years.  Everything Obama has gotten done, he had to circumvent the repulsicans.

Not with Clinton either. not with Carter..... So screw them.

They are dug in so deep. They don't give a squat about anybody but themselves.

You are when you suggest that the Repubs have engaged in such partisan actions but not the Dems.

Read the article. When Pelosi went to Syria, the Dems defended it the same way the Repubs defend the letter now.

They are the same party, just different names.

i know it's a different issue, but i saw an article today about certain high ranking democrats being concerned that hillary isn't ready to campaign for president.

what that means is, she should have been better prepared with this email thing.  what that means is, she should have pulled whatever crooked bullsh*t these people pull to hide their skeletons and try and fool people into believing that they are decent people who respect the rules.  not that this is a big surprise, but these candidates aren't even trying anymore.  they worship one thing --->  $$.

I am conservative because I CAN think for myself.

Is Hillary not out of line for her email fiasco?
Is Barry not pissing on the constitution with some of his executive orders?

I agree it is impolite and wrong place to call him out.  But frustrating when he or any politician can get up and give a speech and tell lies or give bad numbers and not be held accountable.  They know full well what they are doing. Obviously you can't interrupt someone's speech constantly to ask them to back up their lie.  But they should be made to take questions right after the speech to clear up any obvious factual lies or incorrect statements. These speeches are prepped by many people. So, most lies are not accidental.  Shouldn't have to wait until well after the speech when the speaker is long gone to do the fact checking and clarifying. Obvious mistakes should be corrected by the speaker right on the spot.  That would cut out a lot of this nonsense.
