The border invasion......who's coming in?

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which oversees federal funding for services related to noncitizen migrant arrivals in the U.S., said the border isn't part of its "mission space."

Ruben Gallego has criticized the agency for diverting hundreds of millions of dollars in migrant service assistance away from Arizona to northern cities and states like New York and Chicago.

"Now, when we’ve presented Administrator [Deanne] Criswell with the opportunity to meet directly with Arizonans to hear their concerns, FEMA has chosen to throw their hands up and claim the border isn’t their problem," he continued. "That’s insulting to Arizonans, and the agency should be held accountable. When Arizonans complain about the government doing nothing to support them – this is exactly the type of behavior they’re talking about."

As part of the SSP program, FEMA has sent $12.1 million to the government of Pima County, Arizona, and another $19.7 million to assist the nonprofit World Hunger Ecumenical Arizona Task Force's work in Yuma County, Maricopa County and Cochise County, according to federal data.

 By comparison, the New York City has received more than $106 million in federal SSP funding. 

Looks like Democrat Ruben Gallego of  Arizona should maybe change his stripes and become  a Republican.   Why's he so surprised that Biden won't control the border.  

I have a hard time believing Gallego's  constituents will put up w the shit the Biden administration is throwing their way..

What does Trump have to do with the topic of Biden on the border problem?  Unless you are saying reversing some of Trump’s policies are the problem?  Is that what you meant?

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Saturday announced that migrant numbers at the southern border for the month of September had reached new levels with the highest monthly encounters on record as well as the highest fiscal year total on record, in a significant blow to the Biden administration’s border strategy.

There were 269,735 migrant encounters in September, of which 218,763 were encountered entering illegally by Border Patrol agents. That brings the yearly total for migrants at the southern border for FY 23 to 2.48 million, higher than the 2.38 million in FY 22 and 1.73 million in FY 21. There were just 458,088 encounters in FY 2020.

Of those who entered, 43,000 individuals were processed in through ports of entry via the controversial CBP One app, which allows migrants to schedule an appointment to be paroled into the U.S.

Meanwhile, there were 18 encounters of people on the terror watch list between ports of entry at the southern border, taking the total for FY 23 up to 169 — a new record and more than the last six fiscal years combined.

In a statement, acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller said that the agency is surging resources and personnel "in response to high rates of encounters" at the border. The White House this week asked Congress for $14 billion in funding for its border strategy, including more staffing and money for migrant services.

It will be very interesting how quickly the Biden Administration responds to this request for aid compared to Ukraine and Israel.  

This is their own country and the second biggest issue that concern the folks.  It will be very interesting to see if they address this at all while trying to stop Biden’s polling drops.

What did he not do that you would have liked him to have done?  Why has Biden not fixed it?  Biden is the one in office now.

Build the wall that he promised to build.And have somebody else pay for it (you know the trumb way).Remember,that was supposed to fix everything.And maybe do it without having your buddy (bannon) stealing money from it,and then pardoning him.Biden probably hasn't fixed it,cause it's basically un-fixable.Unless you build a wall for all those miles,and station a person every 200 yards to make sure nobody climbs the wall.

 It's worth pointing out that during Trump's presidency,  he took a tough line w Mexico and all the central Americans that were crossing their border. " Trump told Mexico you stop the inflow, or you don't get any financial assistance...

Guess what happened  ?  That's right.. our southern border was in control.

 Do I think the wall would have worked?No,not since that thing called a ladder was invented,walls can very easily be gotten over.Unless you are trying to get over the border in the day's of stage coaches,that's about the only thing a wall would solve.

That's what I was saying about them only working if you have someone monitoring the wall.Prison walls only work because there are guards in towers watching the walls,that is how that works.No I do not think that is what Biden should do,his wall wouldn't be any different then anybody else's wall.But I would be all for a wall if somebody else was gonna pay for it.See I have fences at my house that are perfectly fine,but if someone comes knocking on my door saying they'll pay for a new fence,you know I'm not gonna say no.But to be honest,I don't think I'm gonna hold my breath waiting for that knock to happen,you know what I mean.You guys must be the only ones who believed the con that Mexico was gonna pay for it,why would they?And please tell me how you think we can MAKE Mexico pay for it,should we threaten to blow them up like the drug cartels(like trump said),if they say no?

I unfortunately don't have an answer to what anybody should do to solve this problem(and neither do any of you,nor do any politicians,but you guys sure pretend like you have the answers).Like I said in post #92,I think it's basically an un-fixable problem to a certain extent.If you got people willing to WALK about 2,000 miles carrying everything they own,you think a fuckin wall is gonna make them just turn around and go back?I'd be willing to bet the answers no.

Trump was able to secure the border w-o having a wall.  Sounds like you need to do more homework on what I posted before.   .... get to work.
