President Biden rejects Trump's attempt to keep secret WH visitor logs, including for day of January 6 coup attempt

    CNN -
In a letter to the National Archives, White House counsel Dana Remus
wrote President Biden has determined that asserting executive privilege
"is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified"

Yes.    And yet, no matter how low it gets, Joe Biden is now and always will be, way better than what the alternative would be : donald "adolf" trump thumbs_down

    Bottom line fact.

And that is all that matters, when the choices are "Bad Biden" or "EVEN WORSE trump"

What a joke, sad that it could be Harris at 2%, Joe's doesn't even know where he went today. I'm betting now that things are closing in on HRC and crew they will close the Durham investigation even though Joe said he won't.

On the other hand, the former guy is in deep kimchi.

Ask a veteran what that phrase means.

    Biden administration rolls out effort
to curb industrial greenhouse gas emissions

President Biden is launching a multi-pronged program to reduce industrial sector greenhouse gas emissions.

The centerpiece of the plan, which will cover activities like manufacturing and cement production, is $8 billion in spending on Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs, a Department of Energy initiative funded by the recently passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

(Clean Hydrogen, also known as Green Hydrogen, is created using low-carbon energy sources and can be used as a replacement for natural gas in uses such as heating.)

Anti-vaxers misuse data from Vaccine adverse event reporting system to exaggerate deaths and injuries from vaccines.  VAERS disclaimer warns that reports are unreliable.  After investigations, only a tiny fraction of injuries are real or linked to vaccination.  Serious side effects are very rare.  Most people experience minor discomfort within a few days.  Historically, no vaccine side effect has ever occurred beyond two months.  Since vaccine benefits far outweigh risks, countries protect vaccine makers by compensating for injuries but most claims fail.  Insurance isn't denied to vaccinated people.  Excess deaths are caused by the pandemic and not from vaccines.  Even young and healthy people are vulnerable.  Vast majority of covid deaths and hospitalizations occur in unvaccinated population.  Approved vaccines must pass safety and efficacy requirements of countries.  This has been confirmed by clinical trials involving thousands of people and billions of vaccinations worldwide.  Actually, vaccines have worked better than expected even against variants.  According to Commonwealth fund, over one million deaths and millions of hospitalizations have been prevented in the US.

    This key unemployment measure
hasn't been this low since 1970!

    New York (CNN Business)

America's jobs recovery did not lose steam in the new year
with a key measure of jobless claims dropping to its lowest level
since March 1970, the Labor Department reported Thursday. an_light

Continuing claims for unemployment benefits, dropped to
just below 1.5 million in the week ending February 12,
adjusted for seasonal swings, marking the lowest level
since the week of March 14, 1970.

It was also a lower level than economists had predicted.

Don't want to throw water on the coals but while I will acknowledge such news is positive, taken in context with the volume who left the workforce does soften those numbers somewhat.
