yep the article goes on to outline factors which may or may not impact that positive news all manner of things can happen including future cyber attacks , OPEC moves , a deadlier new covid mutation and even war

Texas Gov. Begs Joe Biden For Federal Help With COVID Testing and Treatments As Cases Surge

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) requested assistance from the federal government for coronavirus testing sites, additional medical personnel and monoclonal antibody treatments as the rapidly spreading omicron variant causes an increase in cases and hospitalizations in his state.
“Detecting COVID-19 and preventing COVID-related hospitalizations are critical to our fight against this virus,” Abbott said in a statement Friday.

news flash....IT WON'T HELP.... this is similar to the gas situation when everyone praised President Poopy Pants for tapping barely a month's supply of the strategic oil reserves as a move to lower gas prices. That was a joke just as this is a joke.
the same clown show praising how that would lower gas prices is doing the same here with just another industry. The meat industry is just like every other in America, it is a CARTEL.... the sheeple here just take whatever is given to them and don't question or look into the reality of the world themselves. If they did, they would know it is part of the GOVERNMENT'S responsibility to regulate fair markets. Meat industry is just anther Cartel comprised of a handful of powerful players. Regulate their asses and create some REAL change.
The meat industry will tell you it's because of labor or some BS and that their prices are higher so they must sell for higher. That is absolute BS as those same companies are setting RECORD profit margins.
Inflation is a real thing but you know what else is real? The fact that every corporate sector of American business (except Finance) have posted RECORD, RECORD PROFIT MARGINS these last 2 quarters.... you don't hear about that though huh do ya.

Chipmakers can face more than a 30% cost disadvantage when making semiconductors in the US instead of Asia. This has driven a steady decline in America's share of global semiconductor manufacturing, which has dropped from 37% in 1990 to 12% in 2020. Europe's share has dropped from 44% to just 9% in the same time frame. Without government action, we cannot reach our ultimate goal of a globally balanced silicon capacity and a resilient supply chain -- which is significantly driving inflation here.
So far, this bill has secured strong bipartisan support in the Senate.

By design, the CHIPS for America Act incentivizes semiconductor companies to make major investments in the US economy and jobs. Combined public and private sector investment would substantially expand US chip production and open the door to thousands of jobs in construction, manufacturing and R&D. For example, research shows that each job at Intel is estimated to support 13 additional American jobs. Building one semiconductor manufacturing mega site is akin to building a small city, which brings forth a vibrant community of supporting services and suppliers.

The semiconductor issue is surprisingly bigger than 99% of our people realize.
We have to get these produced here. We can't be relying on overseas supply chains for this critical product.
