for 'frivolous' election lawsuit

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Thursday ordered Sidney Powell and other lawyers who sued in Michigan to overturn Democratic President Joe Biden's election victory to pay a $175,000 penalty, reiterating an earlier finding that the lawsuit was frivolous.

Judge Parker said the money should be awarded to Michigan and the City of Detroit to compensate for time government lawyers spent defending against the case.

"Plaintiffs’ attorneys filed this lawsuit without conducting the required degree of diligence as to the truth of the allegations made or the merits of the legal claims asserted," Parker said in Thursday's order.

According to yahoo news, Maricopa county concludes only 87 of the 53,304 ballots deemed questionable by cyber ninjas are illegal ballots after review.  Almost every question raised by cyber ninja report is either misleading or false.  Their errors are either poor analysis or misunderstanding of how elections are run.

There are 6 states,3 in the South,FL,TX,and LA and OH,IN,and IA in the North that have a pretty good record.No President has ever won without winning at least 2 of them.Most winners win 5 or 6.Biden goose egged.

Cleveland,a city having similar demographics as do ATL,PHIL,DET,and MIL,turned out only 51 per cent of its registered voters while the others set turnout records bordering on the absurd.Why was that?All of which is no proof of fraud but if this election was on the level,Biden should be giving out Powerball numbers.He's already overcome longer odds.

 You should also apply the same standard to the Democrats' mantra of voter suppression. There's NO PROOF of widespread voter suppression. There's no proof that requiring ID to vote suppresses the vote. And in spite of the Democrat media establishment parroting Democrat lines about voter ID, vast majority of Americans support requiring voter ID. Two other hypocrisies to note:

1. Democrats LOVE to say things like 'most industrialized nations do this thing that we want America to do'. Well, virtually every major country requires ID to vote. Shouldn't we do what most other countries do, as you constantly say/

2. Democrats are pushing for proof of vax to do EVERYTHING except vote; if it's "racist" to require ID to vote why isn't it "racist" to require ID to do everything else?????

The Republican-led Maricopa County released a report on Wednesday that is a near point-by-point rebuttal of the faulty analysis, inaccurate claims and misleading conclusions that they say appear in an Arizona Senate audit of the 2020 election.

Arizona's REPUBLICAN officials stated about trump's false claims of MASSIVE election fraud in the state:

• "In total, we found fewer than 100 potentially questionable ballots cast out of 2.1 million. This is the very definition of exceptionally rare."

• "None of these instances impacted the outcome of races and a thorough review by our election professionals confirmed there were no systemic issues related to ballot counting and processing in the November 2020 General Election," the authors noted in the report, entitled: "Correcting the Record: Maricopa County’s In-Depth Analysis of the Senate Inquiry."

• An analysis of "anomalies" from EchoMail, another contractor that reviewed early ballot affidavit images, was based on a "flawed understanding of signature verification laws and practices."

• The report also invalidated accusations from CyFIR, which reviewed election equipment and FALSELY claimed county staff intentionally deleted files and logs.

In the past, courts have blocked voter suppression by several states that try to make voting harder for minorities.  Wikipedia defines voter suppression as various legal and illegal efforts to prevent eligible voters from exercising their rights.  Examples include poll tax, literacy tests, purging of voter list, disinformation, identification requirements,  limits on early and absentee voting.  No reduction in voter turnout doesn't disprove voter suppression because of voters forced to overcome barriers.  According to Brennan center for justice, there has been over 360 bills introduced that restrict access to voting in 47 states as of 2021.
