A New York Times-Siena College poll released Tuesday showed more registered voters feared Trump using the troops to intimidate his political opponents than feared crime spiraling out of control without the guard in-use.

I remained perplexed on the topic, so I slept on it. I woke up and reread the post. I think I have identified this disconnect:
Magas want you to believe thats its the democrat states doing all the murders, cause they dont want you to know the truth.
1) Magas want you to believe thats its the democrat states doing all the murders
I don't believe this to be overwhelmingly true at all. Maybe some unscrupulous MAGAs somewhere might try to make this claim, but on a whole not so much. Maga's do contend that democrat cities are doing a lot of murders. MAGAs don't tend to speak in absolutes.
2) cause they dont want you to know the truth.
Magas don't really fear the truth as many of the substantial issues of the particular day land on their side years later. In fact Magas prefer you to know the truth so we can have meaningful dialog and not waste all our time trying to establish a baseline.
So its difficult to dig into the meat and potatos of the remainder of your argument if the pretense is rooted on a shaky foundation.
I'd be willing to bet that there are several reasons Trump is exercising his military authority. I believe he wouldn't be a politician if we knew all the reasons. I'd even grant you some of them may in fact not be about crime. However to suggest he's doing this out of hate for Democrats in my book probably isnt one of the reasons as we'd see a different outcome.

Most strikingly and most significantly, Trump seemed to try and recruit the generals and admirals to his political, domestic crackdown. He and Hegseth tried to pit them against Democrats, academia, supposed left-wing radicals and the media.

If the result of entering a thread is to make petty combative jabs or off topic nonsense then please just avoid the member threads entirely because it is obvious what several in this thread are doing and this is not the location for messages in that fashion, there are plenty of threads in the box where some of you are sharing your true colors and I would ask that you keep it there and stop provoking other members.

Maybe if red states disarmed the majority of blue cities within their borders, crime would be down 90% throughout the entire country.
Perfect examples being Philadelphia, Memphis, Nashville, Albuquerque, New Orleans, Montgomery, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Jackson just to name a few.
100% Facts.

Could that be due to the fact that a majority of people live in urban areas and not many people live in rural areas? More people = more opportunity for crime
The real reason crime is high is because people don't have jobs, hope, or direction. Maybe instead of "disarming" blue cities, people should be finding out a way to bolster opportunities and give people direction?

@kagakuotoko
You make good points, I agree.
Blue cities tend to be high density populations, and over the past 15+ years, the majority of these large cities have fallen due to extended, unopposed failed Liberal policies pushing outrageous agendas that do not align with decades and decades of traditional American values.
Many Democratic mayors have lost their way.

Promise you it's not, at least here in Pennsylvania. The behavior is not tolerated in the least.
But how many is not many? Philly has 1.5 million and 40 minutes up the extension is Allentown with 130k. 40 minutes up the extension is Scranton with 75k. The entire path is pretty rural but also populated albeit unlike Philly.

Maybe a different example. No one anywhere between Allentown and Scranton is filling a cart with merchandise and walking out a chain store unchecked. Shoot, they even leave their razors unlocked on the shelves out here.
