The former director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
Dr. Thomas Frieden, said the Trump administration has “failed”
in its response, or lack of one, to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

“This has been a failed federal response,” Frieden told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
“The US is a global laggard in our response.”

Frieden said there is a clear and proven means of communication
in a health emergency.
“Be first, be right, be credible, be empathetic, give people practical things to do,”
Frieden said.

“If you think about those five things, none of them have been done,
not first, not right, not credible, not empathetic and not giving people things to do”

House Democrats seek information
on $250 million contract
on "alleged" coronavirus PR campaign

(CNN)In new letters, House Democrats are demanding new documents
about the Department of Health and Human Services' $250 million contract
with a marketing firm handling a campaign on coronavirus that Democrats
say they want to ensure does not go to propping up trump's reelection campaign.

"We have grave concerns that, rather than focus on planning and executing
a national strategy to contain the coronavirus, the Trump Administration is
using a quarter of a billion dollars in taxpayer money to fund what appears
to be a political propaganda campaign just two months before a presidential
election," House Democrats wrote in their letters.

of course trump will misuse our taxdollars for his own political gain illegally but nothing we can do about it

Not only has Biden fundraising improved in the months before November elections, but gamblers are also betting more on Biden.  Before the pandemic, Trump was the favorite.  Now Biden is favored to be the next president.  According to University of B.C, study, gambling market may be a better predictor of election results than public polls.

Trump campaign rallies are pointless and a liability in spreading covid infections.  He is trailing behind Biden in many polls and faces a fundraising deficit.  Little time left to convince people to vote for him with just weeks remaining before election.  Unlike 2016, there are fewer undecided voters in 2020.  His rallies show he is reckless and doesn't care about other people's health in a pandemic.  In contrast, Biden relies mainly on virtual and social distanced events.  Majority of Americans believe Biden cares more about their health and safety.

Mr. Donald J Trump does not care about his supporters, he only cares for himself. If he cares about his base, he would require face masks and social distancing in his rallies, obviously he failed to do those public health measures to mitigate Covid-19 spread. He only cares about his OWN reelection, not public health.

A newly published study conducted by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has found that
most COVID-19 (coronavirus) patients in Southern California during the early months
of the pandemic appear to have been infected by a variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
introduced to the region from New York state via Europe,
 not directly from China,  where the virus was first detected.

The findings were based on a genetic analysis of the virus found in tissue samples
taken from 192 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 at Cedars-Sinai

Specifically, investigators found that about 15% of the virus samples taken from
the COVID-19 patients at Cedars-Sinai between March 22 and April 15 were
genetically similar to published profiles of SARS-CoV-2 viruses from Asia,
while 82% shared close similarities with variants originating in Europe.
