Sheriff Joe Arpaio wins pardon from Trump

President Trump granted a presidential pardon to Joe Arpaio, the former Sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., on Friday. Arpaio, 85, had been convicted for intentionally disobeying a judge's order in an immigration case.

"Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now eighty-five years old, and after more than fifty years of admirable service to our Nation, he is worthy candidate for a Presidential pardon," the White House said in a statement.

Did he abuse Americans with a legitimate US birth certificate? This was all about payback/revenge by Obama when Sheriff Joe 'might' have proved the Previous President's birth certificate was illegitimate. Childishness from the Previous Predident and the Lefty judge thst turned down Sheriff Joe's request for a trial by jury. Basically a 'rigged' situation.

A guy supposedly this bad should not win election after election. Especially while costing tax payers millions of dollars. His opponents must have been worthless.

Sheriff Joe spent his life in dedication to his country. It is the honorable thing to do...to pardon him...The only reason that the feds went after him was because Joe had proven Obama's birth certificate as a total forgery...

I used to think the media is a bit biased to left but I now realize the rightwing propaganda is just as awful just by looking at some of the response on this forum.

This thread is a perfect example of how very sensitive Lefties are. There are legitimate points made inside here that Trump made a great decision pardoning Sheriff Joe. Why did the Judge representing the Left disallow a trial by jury for Sheriff Joe? The simple answer is they could not convict with a jury of Sheriff Joe's peers. Sheriff Joe was hung the second he walked into this court room for the 1st time. That is considered justice by the Left. This was nothing but revenge and payback by Obama.
