its underway      and the big picture is that its coming at a critical time for the planet    we have to reduce fossil fuel use and switch to renewables where possible and fast . very fast .  in an odd way  putins war will likely accelerate what the world seemed reluctant to pursue .

Veteran Russian diplomat resigns in protest of Moscow's "aggressive war" in Ukraine

In a rare public protest by a Russian official, Boris Bondarev, a diplomat posted to Russia's mission to the United Nations in Geneva, posted a statement on a LinkedIn account condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine

"For twenty years of my diplomatic career I have seen
different turns of our foreign policy, but never have I
been so ashamed of my country as on February 24 of
this year," Bondarev wrote, referring to Russian President

"The aggressive war unleashed by Putin against Ukraine,
and in fact against the entire Western world, is not only

Myself, as I'm sure the other 3 usernames in this thread, would greatly appreciate someone explaining this statement.   While you are at it, if you could explain why and how the Russian Ruble is at it's highest value since pre 2014 Ukraine war...

I just want to make sure I understand how this "is all going to play out for Russia"....as I didn't understand it when it first started and want to make sure I am keeping up with you guys in here....thanks so much.
