Of course not since it doesn't fit the narrative that many GOP conspiracy theorists want!

    https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/lindsey-graham-silent-about-discredited-60-minutes-benghazi-report-that-he-hyped

Surely the GOP talking heads will be happy to report these facts right?

I saw that a few days ago. Like you I waited to see if  anyone would bring it up. Guess we got our answer. My thoughts on Benghazi are about the same as any other incident that happened in the last 40 years. We will never know the full truth and can only hope that these incidents become fewer in the future.

The witness 60 Minutes used was a fraud. CBS has made that mistake before.

But the article you attached from Talking Point Memo doesn't address what this administration told us:

    1. It was a spontaneous demonstration caused by a Youtube
Video. No one in the admin will admit where that came from or who gave Susan Rice the order. Everyone know's the reason that was being spread was so Obama's Al-queda is on the run speech would have credibility.

    2. There was no time to send in reinforcements.

    3. No one knows who gave the order to not provide more security when the ambassador personally asked for more.

Just because 60 Minutes doesn't know how to investigate doesn't mean this is over.

Can someone summarize what 60 mins claimed?
    I never saw it.

Did all questions regarding Benghazi get answered in the past week?

    I have been busy.

Who the F trusts Lindsey graham or 60 min in the first place?

The witness 60 Minutes used for their story may not have even been there.

Rumor has it there are three CIA agents who will be testifying next week in a closed door meeting for the House Intelligence Subcomittee. Supposedly they were there.

Amazed that anyone still watches 60 Minutes. How many times do you have to be fooled before you try something else ?  Anything else.

    4 dead, still no answers.

Glad you see that as a triumph for this country as a whole

    The ends justify the means.

If a few people have to die for "Hope and Change" to prosper then so be it.

Even though libs will never admit that, their lack of wanting to find out the truth in Benghazi tells the story.

    The ends justify the means.

If a few people have to die for "Hope and Change" to prosper then so be it.

SMH ... benghazi, birth certificates, happy marriage, a war on Christmas, abortion, mexicans, the debt celling etc.... damn republicans are brain dead stupid.

Why is this Benghazi crap even a controversy?

A heavily armed group of terrorists staged an attack. Four people were killed.

Government officials were incompetent. No one wanted to take the blame.

The governments narrative was all over the place bullshiit. Nothing new.

    This is a surprise?

There is not a story. It's end of story. Case closed.

This is just another BS controversy created by the republican party. Creating bogus controversies and using dog-whistle politics is what the republican party is known for.

I don't care who it was that said that. What would it solve if the person who said that was exposed? I know it wasn't the president, so there is no real gotcha moment to be had.

Who the ffuck knows? Some incompetent government advisor/official that was talking out of his or her a$$ told her to say that. She thought it was a credible answer.

Government people always make things up to act like they are on top of things. As soon as something happens. The government has to respond like they were not caught off guard.

Act omniscient, show fake equanimity, improvise answers, deflect everything and find someone or something to blame. That's what the government always does.

You ever hear of the Cover-up is worst than the act?

You sound like Hillary with your "What difference does it make at this point."

If someone stole your crack pipe are you going to try to find out who stole it or are you just going to say "What difference does it make"???

Of course Obama supporters do not want a full investigation. Of course they do not think that it matters.

At the end of the day they wouldn't care if he stabbed babies to death every night before bed.

If someone is completely in the bag for the DNC they don't want Obama to be exposed, even if he is comitting crimes.

What's to cover up? There is no cover up scandal. It's clear the government was incompetent.

The government is incompetent at everything. So, let me get this straight? Four people are killed in a surprise terrorist attack. Some government official says it was probably caused by a video.

And, you're saying a government official talking out of his/her a$$, is worse than the actual deaths of the four people killed? Wow, just ... wow.

If you want to find the masterminds behind the attack. I completely understand that side of the argument. Finding out why it happened is stupid considering who the people were that did it.

Who cares why the crazy muslims attacked. These people don't care about needing a reason to kill. They just kill people in the name of allah.

Whether it was a video, cartoon, orders given, or just a random act doesn't change the fact that the government was incompetent.

Damn that crack pipe scenario is so stupid that I'm not even going to respond to it. Why can't republicans attack democrats with real issues. Why do they have to use fake outrage?

This fake scandal reeks of desperation.

    I tell you what republicans.

Call for Bush/Cheney and the rest of the republican party to be convicted of imperialism/crimes against humanity/war crimes and I will agree that Obama's administration should pay for Benghazi.

How many CIA were on the ground?
Was there a stand down ordered?
    Where are the weapons?
What was the function of the site outside of the "embassy" where the CIA were?
Was it an illegal black site?

If the president didn't know, why not?

If he did know, there has been a clear cover up of illegal actions.

Bottom line is that the American people will probably never get the whole story.

It was enough for killary to fake a brain tumor and then step down from office.

If you don't think it is all very fishy that is fine. I do not think we know the while truth.

Also I would love to see Bush and Cheeney spend the rest of their lives in jail

Articles of impeachment were drafted, but too many Dems had blood on their hands from supporting the wars.

It was never going to happen. Too many Dems were complicit.

This thread is just so funny. Basically the right's "outrage" over this tragedy is related to what Susan Rice said the cause of the attack was. So she probably got it wrong that being the reason for the attack. If that is a scandal my gosh what next Obama doesn't like BBQ sauce with his ribs?

Let's remember how this got started and put it into context. Right after the attack Mitt Romney put out a press release blaming Obama for this not even knowing what happened and who was killed. The right saw a scandal that not only would impact Obama but very likely the next Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton!

The hilarious thing is this. About 40% of Republicans think that Benghazi is the biggest scandal EVER. Of these that think it is the biggest scandal EVER 40% of them CAN'T SAY WHAT COUNTRY BENGHAZI IS IN.

    Hilarious.

as long as certain rightwingers have a primary challenge from other rightwingers, they will pretend to give a garbage about the people killed in benghazi and shout out benghazi and scandal over and over and make some garbage up and do whatever they do.  once the primaries are over, i imagine the benghazi scandal will die a quick and quiet death like so many other bombings and attacks before it.

the controversy is that the administration covered up what they did know to help them win an election.   middle east terrorism being defeated was a selling point of obama, and the Benghazi situation showed otherwise.

looks like they figured out the problem.  the tried and true rule: Is that true or did you hear it on Fox News? not only works for foxnews but also works for outlets that employ anyone who has ever worked for Fox News.

At the end of the day, I think Benghazi was a coverup, but there is enough info at this point to Impeach over Fast and Furious.

not sure why the right isn't still pushing that scandal.

i don't think the right can push any scandal anymore.  they have no credibility at all.  maybe i'm in the minority, but i think there are people who really don't like obama much, but as soon as the rightwing brings up a new scandal, we move away as far as we can.

you have the obama lovers who think he can do no wrong.  you have the group i just mentioned who think the rightwing wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the behind and you have the rightwingers who believe whatever they hear on foxnews.  i don;t think that latter group is enough to make any sort of difference.
