According to NOAA, climate related diasters cost the US over $300 billion in 2017 the 3rd warmest year on record since recordkeeping started in 1895.  Scientists have long concluded that emissions from fossil fuels are driving climate change, leading to floods, droughts and powerful storms.

On a positive note, NASA reports antarctic ozone hole is healing itself decades after worldwide ban on CFC compounds.  Global environmental efforts work and there is still hope for the future.

what's that an 80 year 'record'? check back 2000 years bud, yes we're at the end of a warm peak but tens of thousands global warming papers are getting trashed every day due to cherry picking data. expect a solar minimum, and hope it's not a grand minimum
