At this point Elon Musk and SpaceX are today's version of IG Farben. It's absolutely insane that so much of this country (and the world's) communication and defense capabilities rely on the whims of a trillionaire white supremacist (and that description fits both of the villains in this story). Private industry should never hold this much power and this adds to the overwhelming evidence supporting a policy to tax billionaires out of existence. Some day in the future Comrade Trump will deserve to star in his very own version of the Nuremberg Trials at this point!
Musk sides with Trump on abandoning Ukraine

I wish Fox entertainment or PropagandaMax would ask Trump "How is Ukraine responsible?" when he tries to pass the buck. Before Trump invaded Iran, diesel was $3.40 a gallon. After the Trump invasion, it is $6.50 Now I’m not a wealthy man I get by but it’s not always easy paying these prices knowing that they are self inflicted by a imbecile who can control his party’s candidates. With that said I don’t care if Trump’s deal really could lead to lower cost here, I pray Ukraine manages to blow up every refinery before a drop from this deal has a chance to make it to American shores, I’ll accept the added cost to my life if it’s in support of the brave downtrodden people of Ukraine! Screw Trump and enjoy November midterms!

Russia can’t even meet domestic demands ! If they even live up to their part of this deal (and that is a big if) - you are buying Iranian oil that are shipped through the Caspian Sea paying a premium having Russia being the middle man in that transaction - you guys don’t do this for an economic windfall - you are doing it because Putin is willing to make deals under the table with Trump - don’t worry about it - we will deal with you guys in due time

Rule by the rich and powerful threaten democracy. Problem is big money dominates US politics resulting in tyranny by minority. Historians see Trump cabinet of millionaires as the most corrupt in US history. Seeking political power only to enrich themselves. Super rich can buy government detrimental to rest of population. For example, big ugly bill spending cuts and lower taxes. However polls show most Americans favor higher taxes for the rich and protecting social safety net.

It's his private company. He can do whatever the hell he wants. He gave the commercial version of it to the country for free on his own whim at the start of the war. The version Lil' Z is crying about is not the commercial, he wants it for his drone warfare. "Lil Z needs to go!"

Like I was saying..... Starlink and Starshield are two different things….as far as “who pays for them”…..
Poland: Pays an estimated $50 million annually for subscriptions and has supplied tens of thousands of terminals since 2022.
US Department of Defense: Has covered portions of operational and service expenses for Ukraine.
Germany: Funds a share of Starlink equipment and alternative satellite communication services (such as Eutelsat).
SpaceX / US Government: Initially provided free service at the start of the war; military-grade versions (Starshield) are managed and funded through U.S. government frameworks.
