getting broadband internet access?

According to the Federal Communications Commission's 2020 Broadband Deployment
Report, a little over three-quarters of America's rural population had access to the
minimum broadband internet service level as of 2018. That was up from 60 percent
in 2014 — but only around half of all rural residents had access to the sort of
download speeds that would, say, let multiple at-home students stream on
Zoom at the same time.

The Georgia bill, which civil rights groups believe will restrict voting access for
people of color, is rooted in former President Trump’s notoriously
false claims that the 2020 election was stolen, both across the nation
and in Georgia.

Ratings for Newsmax—a small right-wing partisan network touted by Trump

New York (CNN Business) Kimberly Godwin is about to make history --
as the incoming president of ABC News, she'll be the first Black executive
to run one of America's major broadcast network newsrooms.
ABC's parent company, Disney (DIS), announced Godwin's appointment on
Wednesday. She will take over in May.
Godwin is currently an executive vice president at CBS News, one of ABC's main rivals.

CNN reports that Ron DeSantis
is climbing in the polls to succeed trump

(CNN) Republicans who are not Trump are playing a difficult game of trying to raise
their political profile without trying to be seen as pushing Trump aside.

Right now, no Republican is doing a better job of setting himself up as Trump's successor
than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. If Trump decides not to run in 2024, DeSantis has as
good if not better chance of being the party's nominee as anyone.

Just a few months ago, DeSantis was averaging less than 5% and well behind
former Vice President Mike Pence.But in the last two months, DeSantis is
generally right at the top of the limited non-Trump 2024 polling.
