Selective hearing on your part.  What I've heard is that "he doesn't have enough experience, especially in foreign relations." 
 
I'm sure they only mean experience in general and the foreign relations part is just a small piece.

I gave him too much credit (number 7 is right above 4 on the keypad).  Yes, he was elected in 2004 but only served 143 days before announcing his run at the presidency (at which point, you basically gie up being a senator since running for the office takes up all your time).

Man, how is it people can follow this.  PALIN IS THE RUNNING MATE.  McCain already has the experience in congress and foreign policy experience.  He didn't need to pick someone with the same background.  OBAMA DID.  Biden may have more experience than Palin but he needs to in order to make up for Obama's lack of experience.

By your own admission McCain has more experience than Obama and Biden has more experience than Palin.

"I have rarely heard McCain bring up the topic of his POW experience.  I do remember at the forum McCain saying his deciding to give up freedom and stay in the POW camp because there were other soldiers who had been there longer was one of the toughest decisions of his life.  Then Obama’s answer to the same question was “opposing the war in Iraq.”  HE DIDN’T EVEN VOTE ON THE WAR."
 
He was just on Leno and Jay asked the question about his homes, it was a joke and his answer was, " Well, Jay let me tell you, I was a pow for 5 1/2 years.

In all seriousness, if I was a liberal, I would be trying to steer the conversation as far away from the topic of “experience” as is humanly possible.

Obama said he chose a VP that could be president if something happened to him.  That's obviously not McCain's first worry.
 
There are plenty of other conservatives and there are other people who could take on Biden (more effectively then she can). 
 
Young, no baggage, and female.  Throw that in with a "reform" background and it makes sense.
 
Republicans will downplay the whole experience thing faster then you can say, "Nixon was a crook."  And dems won't know how to take advantage. 
 
d2 makes some good points, but no one will care about that stuff at all.  He could come right out and tell people that he picked her to win the election and it won't matter.

Of course McCain has more experience than Obama. He is almost twice his age. But the question is, what does he have exprience doing?

How insulting to all concerned.
 
So the lack of a "Y" chromosome somehow makes that person a standard bearer of women's issues?
 
The 'supposedly disaffected' Hillary supporters can see through this 'desperation' pick from a mile away.

On "Morning Joe" on MSNBC in April, McCain, a former Navy fighter pilot, responded with derision to Obama's call for leaving a limited strike force in Iraq. "I think somebody ought to ask what in the world he's talking about, especially since he has no experience or background at all in national security affairs," McCain told host Joe Scarborough.

This took me 1 minute to find.  It might be in reference to a specific issue, but the bottom line is, they have been playing Obama's lack of foreign relations experience for a while now.  I can't believe you sit and deny this with a straight face.

What are the concerns of the 'disenfranchised Hillary women?

1) Pro-choice and eventual tinkering with Supreme Court make-up that could threaten Roe v. Wade.

2) Universal Health Care.

How does an anti-abortionist from Alaska draw in that crowd?

This was such a gimmicky pick by McCain I am still chuckling.

Throwing out this gal to fill what could be the Command-in-Chief role just to snag some Dem women voters is beyond comprehension.

He just sewed up the election for Obama.
