Biden rushing $200 million worth of weapons
for Ukraine's defense against Russia

WASHINGTON -The United States on Saturday said it would rush up to $200 million in additional small arms, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons to Ukraine, as Ukrainian officials pleaded for more equipment to defend against heavy shelling by Russian forces.

President Joe Biden on Saturday authorized the additional security assistance, the White House said, paving the way for the "immediate" shipment of fresh military equipment to Ukraine, a senior administration official said.

Biden's decision brings total U.S. security aid provided to Ukraine to $1.2 Billion since January 2021.

Odd that some people insist Biden does absolutely nothing positive.   Nothing at all.

Really?  By saying this at the end of that quote, I am assuming you think Biden is correct on this?  If so, can you defend it or no?  If not, what would be something that you could defend?  

Of course he has done something positive.  

For example:

But this week, I found myself applauding the president for refusing to cave into domestic and foreign pressure to transport Polish MiG jets to Ukraine. At this point, Biden rightly said, in effect, “no way.” The U.S. would not be transferring planes from an American air base to the Ukrainians, for the U.S. would thereby become a combatant in the eyes of Russia. And not only would the U.S. become a combatant, but all of NATO would as well. NATO, which operates by consensus, would never agree to an American move which would engulf the entire continent of Europe in a (potentially nuclear) war over Ukraine, a country which is not a member of NATO.

Do you agree he was right on this?  Or do you think he was wrong on this?  

Just curious if you are someone who thinks he can do nothing negative?  And if you are able and willing to discuss it?

Reports indicate the NORD 2 project the Germans ended would have been worth approximately $2.7 billion annually to Russia.  Will be extra difficult for Russia to find a buyer to replace that contract as Germany is their largest EU consumer and the world is largely treating Russia as an outcast now, except for those who support authoritarianism and terrorism.

It's just going to get worse for Russia -- and hopefully for all those cheerleading for them too

 Sending of weapons from the US to Ukraine has been taking place for weeks. It didn't just happen & for the most part it was a bipartisan decision.

Following President Biden's lead,
French energy giant TotalEnergies
to stop buying Russian oil by year-end

"Given the worsening situation in Ukraine and the
existence of alternative sources of supply for Europe,
TotalEnergies has unilaterally decided not to enter
into or renew any contracts for the purchase of Russian
oil and oil products, in order to stop all purchases of
Russian oil or oil products as soon as possible and
by the end of 2022 at the latest," the statement said.

Yeah!! Biden had two hour talk with Xi for two hours!

There was no indication he got any assurance in return.

Xi's also smart enough not to back a losing hand.

It also announced that it will stop funding the Arctic LNG 2 project, located in Russia's Siberian coast and will put its commercial developments in batteries and lubricants in Russia on hold.

Biden has united allies in a common cause.   Even perpetually neutral countries like Sweden and Switzerland have abandoned their neutrality to follow Joe Biden's lead against the Putin war machine by supplying arms and aid to Ukraine
