    White house reports that companies have announced $110 billion in clean energy investments to create 170,000 jobs in first year and over 1.5 million during next decade.  Millions of seniors to save money because insulin is capped at $35 per month.  In addition, billions of dollars for protection of communities against extreme weather.  One billion tons less greenhouse gas emissions expected by 2030.  Furthermore, families are projected to save $27-38 billion on electricity from 2022 to 2030.  15 million families to save average of $800 annually on healthcare insurance.

    @BigGame90

     I think it will take a little time to see its true impact. Lower drug costs won't take affect until 2025 which should help many Americans. Yesterday I had to get a Z-pack & the cost was $40 @ CVS & $8 @ COSTCO. That's a huge spread/cost difference for the same drug.

    @Midnight1

     Time will tell, but the trend hasn't been great to start. I take all these acts as the exact opposite of their actual name. The names appear to be created to fool most people who fail to do their own DD. Most articles love to say "the rate is lowering" but actual inflation is still going up.

    Costco usually always has lower prices. Considering their business models, they're able to keep prices lower. I highly doubt their lower costs are due to the I.R.A.

    @BigGame90

     I agree about Costco. However, I was pointing out the huge discrepancies in the pricing structure that the act will hopefully eliminate these oddities.

     Does the act control how individual businesses price their products?

     My monthly insurance premium is going up 62% next year ........ the 3rd consecutive year it has done so, & the deductible will rise 33%.......& electricity has gone up 5%/Kwh. I've seen nothing positive from this admin. or its policies.

    Biden admin- "Don't worry, we have the inflation reduction act that will help you. Just wait for it to happen because it eventually will. Oh, and don't forget to vote blue in November, remember, we're from the gov't and we're here to help you".

    It's Climate Change money disguised as an inflation act sugar coated with reduced perscription prices that Trump already signed off on, Biden froze, and then took credit for and causing a delay.

    This act is supposed to reduce energy costs. Has it? NO.

    And "possibly" reduce the deficit. HA!

    I posted about a month ago inflation has bottomed.  Recent numbers reflect that.  Peace and carry on....

     So do you know the answer to your own question in post 67 or is this just another childish Biden bashing opportunity?

    @THEMUGG

     There are many threads where you guys can hammer Biden, and you all use them constantly. This is antagonizing the other side and serves no purpose or value. You are also wrong about Biden deserving it. We have discussed this before, what fault does Biden have for the current inflation issue?

    Inflation is a battle between supply and demand, simple concept. What role does Biden (since he is the only politician and the DEMS own both congress and house right?) What role does Biden/Government have in the inflation equation? Does spending on both foreign and domestic items impact supply or demand? Or both?

    I do not see in the actual consumer based data, consumption data any truth to the consumer creating inflation like this via demand..it is not tough to find either, personal consumption data is regularly reported its all there. So if Biden is flooding the US with free cash for those money grubbing DEMS and illegals as you guys see it, where are we seeing in the DATA that inflation is based on more money to the consumer and thus demand?

    I dont see it. And if you really burrow in and see of this added debt and outlay that is ONLY domestic to the consumer, I do not see president over president proof that the consumer got enough MORE money to push prices via demand.

    You guys really dont care about inflation or truth or reality just pin the tail on the DEM and elevate your ugly candidate, that is why this forum is of so little value. Two groups more interested in their sucky candidate and tearing down the other side instead of having constructive solid debate.

    Since I made the mistake of wandering into this cesspool sub about 5 years ago, this is exactly how this sub has been allowed to operate.  A subsection of this forum is not interested in any constructive solid debate.  They are only interested in cheerleading their pom poms in regurgitating the regime's party line narratives.  It is this disease from within that has created the environment you speak of.

    Very few threads are discussed with any level of intelligent debate or conversation.  There are some, usually they are financially related or tie back to something we all have common ground on, like the dollar losing purchasing power.  Someone will inevitably jump in with a Jeo B or Fat Don comment and then the conversation takes a turn for the worst.

    Not sure why they called it the inflation reduction act as it did nothing for inflation?

     Afroman bank account is inflated with this song.

    Maybe we all need a good tune and a laugh once in awhile.

    A million views in only a few days and in the top songs on YouTube. Humor can go a long way.

    Enjoy the humor before they take that away.

    "Hunter Got High"

    He was gonna go visit his dad, but Hunter got high
    He thought he had a secret stash, but Hunter got high
    The White House got shut down and we all know why
    Hunter got High, Hunter got High, Hunter got High

     Can you not be so annoying especially in the thread of the other side? We all know you love Trump and despise Biden but enough is enough just knock it off already.
