It will make it harder for workers to do their jobs and damage productivity.

    https://wonkwire.com/2016/07/20/its-getting-too-hot-to-work-and-it-could-cost-the-global-economy-trillions/

If I were rich, I'd buy a house where it is relatively cool during the summer months.  Extreme heat really wears me down.

Thank goodness for tangible progress due to thoughtful global co-operation.

However, that first paragraph is otherwise quite troubling:

In a week that has yielded studies on the continued rise of carbon dioxide emissions, the expected increase in global petroleum production, and the accelerated death rate of Rocky Mountain trees, a study showing progress on the hole in the ozone is a breath of fresh air.

I've always thought exactly this based on the science presented. There is no doubt that we can do damage to the environment based on artificial exigencies. But by that same token, the oceans and ozone have the ability to purify if the amount of pollutants are reduced.

I do agree that we could do more to clean up our enviroment and keep it clean for future generations

The idea that the scientific community is split 50/50 is completely wrong.

    https://www.skepticalscience.com/global-warming-scientific-consensus-intermediate.htm

    From the article:

    1) Depending on exactly how you measure the expert consensus, it’s somewhere between 90% and 100% that agree humans are responsible for climate change, with most of our studies finding 97% consensus among publishing climate scientists.

    2) The greater the climate expertise among those surveyed, the higher the consensus on human-caused global warming.

Too many people are skeptical just because they are ignorant of the facts.  Ignorance may feel blissful, but it can also be dangerous.

A global effort to reduce the population voluntarily would be a great idea.  Religious fanatics would stand in the way.

We all can do our part to lessen our carbon footprint. Simple energy conservation, not using plastic when grocery shopping, proper waste disposal, recycling and more. At home, we never throw plastic water bottles in the garbage, we use them as plant pots or sell them to the junk guy.

This is a relief somehow. But I guess this will only happen if there is a reduction of pollutants.

Actually, I'd suggest people go watch the episode of Vice on Antarctica.  I believe it's called Our Rising Oceans.  The scientist essentially said the damage has already been done and we can only slow the process.  Technically, humans should already be considering options to prevent what's going to occur.

Yeah, thats the answer force everyone to go out and buy a Prius, if you can afford it or not.

Regarding the rising oceans. Simple solution:

Start pumping seawater back into the desert areas where there was once oceans present before. This will not only cause water to seep back into the aquifers, but filter much of the salt out and cause more rain storms over the region which further filters pollutants out of the air.

In a few years time, polar bears will be happy and jobs would be created around the new bodies of water.

Ok genius... The earth went through 2 major ice ages. The last one had MANHATTAN under 1 mile of ice. Why did it melt? I'm pretty sure it was before the internal combustion engine. All the scientists involved with this scam are on the payroll and some have falsified data to keep the fraud alive. When the earth wishes to heat up it will and when it wished to cool off it also will. Is there any limits to what the lefties wish to control? Ask Al Gore how much $ he's made off this scam?

BTW I love the "water levels are rising" b.s.

Who owns property near waterways - most likely wealthy people. So we're supposed to burden our lives with higher energy costs so the rich can have oceanfront property? No thanks. You build near the water, then you better have enough money for the stilts...

The other argument is caring about future generations... Do you really believe the younger generation cares about the older generation today? Not a chance, where's my free sh*t at? If they had to kill all the old people to furnish their lifestyle, they would in a second.

Moronic lefties, can't think beyond their noses...

Most climate scientists conclude that the sun is unlikely to have caused more than 2% of global warming over the past 300 years according to skepticalscience.

Human caused global warming is based on overwhelming scientific evidences accepted by national academies of science in all countries.  Since so few climate scientists deny global warming, non-climate experts from other fields are HIRED by corporations to confuse the public.  However hundreds of top scientists VOLUNTEER research to "United Nations intergovernmental panel on climate" the world's leading body in assessing climate research.
