In another thread you mentioned it could be fun having a beer together, so if you are ever in Florida let me know. We'll have you & the wife over to the house as our guests. We can rent some water skis (since I don't have any) & we can go into the Atlantic so you can ski. We have 2 homes here & we'll have to stay across the street in our other house as we will rebuild our current home as soon as the virus is under control. I'll just move the boat over one canal & we have a pool in that house as well. After the boat trip we can grill some steaks & watch the beautiful Florida sunset. In the morning, we can take the boat out again and watch the brilliant orange sun rise. If you want to go fishing, I'll ask my son to take us for sailfish if the wind is from the northeast or sword fishing further out in the deeper part of the ocean.

It may not have been directed at Bubba Wallace but regardless of how long it's been there, it was a noose. Which means whoever tied it, whenever they tied it, it's intention was racial overtone. Look, I couldn't care less about Bubba Wallace or any of this race stuff. I've left nooses in people's lockers at work myself so who am I to judge? I do know knots though. Have you ever actually seen a noose, tox? Are you familiar with it's characteristics? It's a slipping knot, that much is obvious. Which means it makes a crappy pull for anything. There are much better knots to use as a pull. A monkey fist comes to mind. And if you intended it to have a loop a bowline is one of the most used and most efficient knots in history. Much more practical than a noose and easier to tie. Heck, leaving the end of the line dangling is more practical than a noose. And quite honestly, you have to set out to learn to tie a noose. You don't learn that one in scouts. You don't learn it in sailing. You don't stumble upon it playing cat's cradle. And you know exactly what message you're conveying when you tie one  I was born at night but not last night. If someone tried to tell me a noose was simply a pull for a garage door i'd roll my eyes and count the coils.
