Now to answer UNIMAN. I'll try to go point by point and follow the order of your statements.
The noose, while not directed at Bubba, was undoubtly symbolic of racism. While people of all races were hung (hanged?) in this country, the image of the noose only calla to mind one thing. Is this is Alabama we're talking about. I don't think it was done with malicious intent per se. It was probably just someone messing around in the garage one day but it absolutely was not tied as a handle. Nooses slip. That's what they're designed to do. The fact that there's still a loop in it means whenener the pull on that cord, they're pulling on the working end of that rope and not the loop. Frankly, there's no need for a loop in a garage dooe pull as evidence by the garage door right next door. Yet nobody, since atleast 2019, bothered to untie it.
The use of the N-word by black people speaks to what's called "slave's mentality", the mind being enslaved even though the body is free. It is a major issue with many black americans and will probably continue to be for atleast another 50 years. One aspect is attempting to "own" negatives. For another example, and for historical context, ponder this. Is the slave fields, a selected few were allowed to work in the "big house", that is to say, the master's quarters. These slaves were treat better, ate better, given better handed do clothing. They were sometimes even the mulatto children of the master himself. These "house n*ggas", still very much slaves, were ostracized by the field hands. These house slaves were sometimes taught to read. Knowing how to read, instead of being a badge of honor, became something shameful. It's gets better. In this era, it was not uncommon for the slave master himself, or people in their employ, to be illiterate. So the simple act of reading, and it shaming a white who couldn't, would often lead to beating. Fast forward to the modern era, there are people in the ghettos of america that still look at being a serious student as punk shit. Something you can still be beat up for, except this time by your own race.
Back to the N-word. So black people have made a negative word their own. I must admit, I say it to often myself. I use it for all races and have had friends of all races use it without causing any offense. The difference is intent. Hom0sexuals have done the same thing with words such as "que*r" "f*g" and "queen". Woman call themselves "b*tch" "hoe" and "box". You never hear a bunch of white dudes sitting around saying, "You know, happy people say it, how come we can't say f*g." The real question is, why do white dudes want to say it so badly? Why do white dudes love to dress in blackface? Why do they have whole parties based around it? You never hear, "Let's all have a party where we dress like mexicans. Let's all have a party where we dress like the chinese. Let's all have a party where we all dress like the happy people."
