As a black man I believe that if you want people to be sympathetic to injustice, there has to be give and take. You can't make a martyr out of everyone. Some people have it coming.

I assumed if he's getting credit as being a good cop he must be black so I was gonna say 100 meter dash but turns out he's a corny looking white dude. I say if the people wanna give a corny looking white cop praise then for Christ's sake, let them. We need to get back to some semblance of racial unity.

What a moronic narrative 

The DA's rush to judgement is now being hammered nationwide and he is backtracking on his words about how calm and cooperative Mr. Brooks was. Mr. Brooks resisted arrest and fought two cops, stole a weapon and fired it at a cop. Those are the facts. Regardless of color, I want all people to be sympathetic to injustice 100% of the time. Everyone deserves justice without exceptions. The cop that murdered George Floyd will get his justice by serving his time behind bars for the rest of his life as he deserves. The cop involved with Mr. Brooks was doing his job. Perhaps he could have aimed lower for the legs but the key component to that question was "did he fear for his life"? A taser to the chest will kill a person a large % of the time. A taser to the brain causes brain damage. If it were you in the cop uniform, how would you have handled the situation? 

He handled the situation 100% correctly. Police work is not like an old western movie where you shoot the gun out of the felon's hand. The cop is not Gene Autry or Roy Rogers, or even the Lone Ranger. If there is a threat to life, yours or anyone else's, you shoot to kill. If I were the current or next president on the very day of his conviction he would be pardoned. jm2c

Qualifier: Unless more damning evidence comes out. My opinion is based on what we know today.

Right now Slim,  corporate America is bowing down to BLM.  It's disgusting to say the least.   They have no other option when their suppliers,  employees, and customers are all waiting for them to join the cause... or face the consequences if they don't.    

I like Eskimo pies. Never thought the name derogatory at all. I never thought Eskimos invented or made them. I never even checked out the company or individuals that made them. Are they racists? Does that make me a racist? 

Or would you have been racist if you didn't like Eskimo pies? Would that demonstrate a disdain for the inuit people? So hard to navigate these uber sensitive times.

Way too late to worry about that now.....you have already shown internalized racism toward President Trump and his supporters..
