I don't think Trump worsened relations. He's just given voice to a lot of angry people who believe that BLM, immigrants, and Muslims are at fault for their lot in life.

Obama hasn't worsened nor made better race relations. Nor has any other President sans Johnson who improved the overall plight.

Obama has been in office for years now but things have really ramped but once the trump era started...

Obviously Trump has committed no action to incite racial tensions, but there are some who blame his comments as doing so.
    I disagree.

There are those who go through life in a constant state of blame (think Scalabrine). Everything done, and every word spoken, is cause for these people to start pointing fingers. Does this mean that everyone else should walk on eggshells as to not 'provoke' them? Personally, I don't think so.

If my words/opinions happen to poison someone's day, that is a poor reflection of them, not me. They are the broken ones, not I. If able, I am willing to show/teach them how not to be broken, but I am not willing to stop talking.

The aforementioned 'blamers' are burdened with self imposed issues which are not my responsibility to bear. They have a need to blame others for their own shortcomings, real and perceived. No one person, entity, or government should need to change just to appease these people. They must change their perspectives, and that change can only start once they stop blaming others

    won't be long now.

the interesting thing to me will be what the republicans do next.  as you recall, after the last two presiential beatings, which really pissed off republicans, they kind of understood that you can't win the general election without identifying with minorities.  despite that recognition, they proceed to nominate candidates who do the opposite and alienate them.

will they learn their lesson after trump has historically low support from minorities?  i doubt it.  the problem, as always, seems to be that the better these guys are as republican primary candidates, the worse they are as general election candidates.

This thread went so far off center that the point was lost. People waiting to bash Trump on any topic.

    Try again...
The problem in Milwaukee is a microcosm of the nation. Huge disconnect amongst the "community" (isn't a community that is tight or mutually responsive)which unravels with police action. Policing is becoming front and center a major issue. Blacks are committing armed crimes at a rate that exceeds their population. Police look for armed robbery suspects and therein lies the trouble. The identification becomes difficult and pulling over similar looking black males is problematic, and in the case of Baltimore, outside officials had called out the Baltimore PD for profiling.
The challenges are intense. The police do need to solve crimes. They do need to pull over, attempt to interrogate . With cell phones everywhere, police are going to get recorded.

Training is incomplete and police do not screen for emotional control and stress management (how do you know  about that), but training needs to be increased but police are on tight budgets.

Lack of police presence, general patrols, due to budget constraints , and also to police fear of being in or near tough neighborhoods at the wrong time.

Carrying a forearm statistically increases your chances of dying as a result of carrying that firearm--it could increase your chances of defending yourself in a dangerous street situation.

The response by police usually leads to more militarized response--more numbers, more armaments, less controls on making arrests.

Cities are becoming more insecure places to live.

Funny, looks  like something I posted must have upset the apple cart of the emotional  lemmings...

Funnier too to see the lemming's line up in single file trying to bash and get all insulting because they have been reduced to nothing beyond that...

The funniest thing is the lack of awareness to see the context of the comments in respect to the forum and how it emulates and mocks the exact same pattern of negative attribution through confirmation bias.

They just don't get...  But I guess what would you expect from lemming's...

Right back to the presidential CANDIDATE. What a tool. You're gonna get your corrupt, coddled disease riddled establishment hack--relax.

My point is this: A black cop shoots a black robber who is armed with a stolen gun. This is a democrat run city with a black mayor and black DA, and black lives matter "protestors" decide to burn businesses (probably black owned) and the open liberal society is not part of the culture-- liberalism imposed is bound to have bias and contradiction. You simply need a citizenry capable of liberalism in order to see responsibility flourish, to manifest security without excessive policing.

BLM was founded by Black Panther Malcon X inspired organizing--oppositional to MLK Jr. peaceful non violent Ghandieque demonstrating. Violence is strength. Terrorizing ordinary complacent citizenry is the norm. First line of defense for white controlled areas is the police.

anyone find it ironic that DL's occupation is 'Health Services'?  DL- the thought of you providing any service intended to promote health is troubling.  it's more likely you live in a mental ward which is not an occupation.  stop '+1'ing' your own posts.  unless it's the voices in your head agreeing with each other

    Yup reduced to insults...

Why not join the rest of the crew and start up with name calling also... Seems to be a consistent pattern when their meltdown starts and rational thinking is absent

BLM was founded in 2013 by 3 black community agitators named  Alicia Garza , Patrisse Cullers and Opal Teneti. These 3 are all connected to Freedom Road Socialist Organization (this is a marxist group of troublemakers)
Democracy Alliance is another major contributor. This is a collection of wealthy D party types.
The New Black Panther Party has chimed in recently
A NBPP  "leader" calling himself Mauricelm-Lei Millere has recently called for attacks on cops & fireman.

I don't see any reason to celebrate this. or how Trump is involved.
A Trump defeat won't stop any of this.It is likely to get worse.

Unease continues after Sherman Park uprising

    https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/breaking/2016/08/14/calm-restored-scene-unrest-clarke-calls-national-guard/88716616/

For a second night, disorder hit Milwaukee's Sherman Park neighborhood late Sunday, with protesters throwing rocks, bricks and glass bottles at police, shots ringing out and a shooting victim rescued by officers and whisked to a hospital in an armored vehicle.

The disturbances came as the city coped with the aftermath of Saturday night's violence that followed a police shooting of an armed suspect.

At around 11 p.m., police dressed in riot gear had to move in and disperse a crowd at Sherman Blvd. and Burleigh St., after protesters started throwing objects.

An 18-year-old man was rushed to a hospital with a serious gunshot injury, Milwaukee Police said. The shooting occurred in the in the 3000 block of N. Sherman Blvd.

Police said an officer was also taken to a hospital after suffering an injury when a thrown rock broke the windshield of a squad car.

Still trying to find out how Trump got involved in this?

It's funny how zelo of all people doesn't get it...

Ive explained both the theory and the context more than once...  I think the problem is that people get emotional and upset with the trump era drama and violence because it doesn't fit their prescribed talking points...

Here we go with the usual suspects garbage...the same type of stuff that got you boxed for a month an a half. Looks like you will never learn.

Wouldn't shock me one bit if you walk around with at least one black eye constantly...just when one heals up, someone 'gifts' you with another. Meanwhile, you are not completely devastated because in your mind's eye, people are still paying attention to you.
