hard to imagine I ever would write this.

but EU, NATO, , and England have all begun to invoke NATO alliance article t against the USA.

??BREAKING: Canada slaps down Trump, signals military response if Greenland is invaded.

In a stunning escalation that shows just how far Donald Trump has pushed America’s allies, Canada has made clear it would militarily confront the United States if Trump attempted to seize Greenland by force.

During a public exchange on Arctic security, Canada’s prime minister invoked NATO’s Article 5, reaffirming that Canada stands “fully square” behind its collective defense obligations to Denmark and Greenland.

    That is not diplomatic fluff.

Article 5 is the mechanism that triggers military response when a NATO member is attacked.

In other words: Canada is saying that if Trump invades Greenland, Canada would fight.

World leaders do not say the word “war” out loud. They don’t need to. Invoking Article 5 is how governments communicate that conclusion without theatrics. Everyone who understands NATO understands exactly what it means.

This moment matters because it shows how dangerously Trump has destabilized America’s standing in the world.

Greenland is not for sale. Its future belongs to Greenlanders and the Kingdom of Denmark. Yet Trump has repeatedly floated using economic pressure — and even force — to take control of the territory, shattering long-standing norms between allies.

Canada’s response is not symbolic. It is a line in the ice.

By publicly reaffirming NATO’s collective defense clause, Canada is signaling that U.S. aggression against an ally would be treated as an act requiring military resistance, even if that aggression came from Washington itself.

That is how far this has gone.

This isn’t about posturing. It’s about containment.

Trump has already imposed tariffs, threatened allies, and openly disregarded international law. Now allied nations are openly preparing for the possibility that the United States itself becomes the aggressor.

That is unprecedented in the modern NATO era.

The most damning part is what this says about America’s global reputation. The United States is no longer assumed to be the stabilizing force in the alliance. Under Trump, it is increasingly viewed as the risk factor that must be deterred.

Canada did not seek this confrontation. Denmark did not escalate. Greenland did nothing but exist as a sovereign territory.

The destabilization is coming from one place — and now America’s closest allies are planning accordingly.

When allies start publicly signaling military resistance to the United States, the story is no longer about rhetoric or hypotheticals. It is about how close Trump is pushing the world toward an unthinkable rupture.

This is what happens when a president treats diplomacy like a real-estate negotiation and alliances like leverage to be crushed.

The guardrails are no longer theoretical. Other countries are actively bracing for impact.

And that should terrify every American who understands what NATO — and peace — has meant for the last 75 years.

don't compare trump to Hitler hitler at least served in WW1. he wasn't a draft dodging coward.....

That'll just be the perfect excuse for President Trump to invade and annex Canada next after Greenland is dealt with

President Trump will be a hero making Canada the 51st state and having created the largest country in the World uniting the USA, Canada and Greenland

Canada wouldn't be able to match the USA in a war anyways

Where is Ukraine on that list ? Just wondering because number 2 on this list has been at war for 4 years capturing a few cities here and there in the process ?

And number 1 has lost plenty of wars in the past for instance versus Vietnam - can’t see them on your list ?

It's a list from the internet...I didn't personally count each aircraft so I'm gonna have to trust the numbers....

Denmark ranked 66 with 117...you outrank, in numbers, Ethopia an_horse

Iceland, Kosovo, Liberia and Somalia have 0 win

Although, with all the money Somalia has made from the US, they may have something in the works an_wink

Imagine number one no longer in your alliance as a NATO member....number one holds 53% of the military aircraft in the world.....imagine missing this, but we are not number one in ships, so that bodes well for your world dominance against the US...no air, but by water you have a chance....

Shall we play a game....are the words of the machine of War Games....I remember this one time playing Stratego where.....

We have no enemies - why should I fucking care of our military - China would help us with Russia because we have more money and people than Russia so we are more important to China - of course you have more military equipment because you are the one with no friends

I would say times have changed by leaps and bounds since Nam....good try though peace_5

World domination by military sense resides with one country in many different areas....an_wink...sure, countries can outnumber us, but numbers in terms of people are no match to military aircraft and it's technology...hell, we might be able to do it just by ships alone with the technology we have....

Sure it has but France also has enough nukes to destroy planet earth so military dominance only matter to a certain point - you can take your helicopters and submarines and stuff up your ass - If we get to that point - they can’t help you in a nuclear warfare situation

You still lost and that was the point - military dominance only matter to certain extend - I would argue you also lost both the Iraq war and whatever you call that fiasco in Venezuela - if you go in militarily  and don’t change what you go in to change - you lost in my opinion

Go ahead and get your alliance together and try to agree on everything and then try to implement what you agreed upon....while the US wouldn't have to agree with anyone anymore if it were not a NATO member and would already have positioned itself and taken out key targets....what hurts the US the most is not having military bases in key terrain, but that can be easily overcome....what I think is funny is that you keep insisting that your country has any relevance in the grand scheme of things and is really only relevant with an alliance....pretty sad really to be gloating about your country and what it will or won't do to America when your talk is only backed by a gang....without the US participation in NATO, we are free to move about how we please and I will tell you that it hurts your country and its members way more for the US to be out of NATO than it does for NATO to no longer back the US...then when all you sniveling piddly little countries need help or aid or whatever the US provides you won't have it....pretty big talk for a country that has very little against a country that is a superpower....you talk apples to oranges on a daily around here and it's kind of foolish....I would focus and talk about, if it were me, what your specific country can do instead of what your allies can do because once that is broken up you are just a dot on the map really while the US is till going to thrive...

"Fiasco" is a good description of the Iraq War.

There is actually a good book on the Iraq War with that same title, the author's name evades me..

He doesn't care because to him it's a put down to the US and not dominance....we are so far ahead of other countries military wise it's not even funny...and to think that our current aircraft dominance is what it is as opposed to back then is a joke....there is a reason why the US has more than half of the worlds aircraft....he just likes to put down the US and pump up his dot of a country and all its allies....it's like the guy that thinks he can fight and acts tough but really he only does so because of all his friends backing him....a tough guy in numbers while the guy he is threatening can overtake him easily....but but look at my friends...

I don’t try to downplay your military dominance - I say you talk it up ! You think you are strong enough that it would be an advantage for you running this show without NATO on your side - and I differiate on that way of looking at things - but believe me I have met enough idiots my life - that I don’t care to change your opinion - I just stating mine and don’t mind yours

Yes, I know this fact.  It is not even a comparison.  One can talk fair smack on many aspects of the US but military tech and military power is not one of them peace_5

Are any of you young enough to join in on this fighting fun that is shaking down - because I saw some MAGA loser (can’t remember his name - but I am sure I can find his videos if you want) - where he went like - “I challenge every liberal to fight me” and then he fucking panicked when DMs started bimling in - and I don’t know you guys just remind me of him
