So she calls, volume too heavy, call back later. Finally gets through, "yeah we got it. Should see change next month". Two months later, no change. Call and call again, "yeah we got it over 4 months ago, oh wait, a box wasn't checked."

I spent three weeks wading through brokerage requirements, bank requirements and IRS requirements until they were satisfied with the information provided even when a form did not state something was needed.

Busy signal, hang up redial, busy signal etc etc lolll. Dialing with one of those took like forever.
I gotta hope she can go to a local IRS office and they can handle this and dont need some specialist that the main IRS. also last resort is the tax payer advocates who handle problems right inside the IRS building when you are unable to get in contact with anybody. NY just suspended my deceased fathers license because the insurance company reported to them a lapse on coverage on a vehicle that was donated.
As it turns out there was a few days lag time for them to process the tag surrender. But they communicate with the insurance company and not their department of vital statistics.

at 6:45 pm told the wife to call 1 more time for today. They close at 7 so maybe everybody else quit calling for day. She called and got a recording that someone would call back in 27 minutes. They did call back and she was on hold for 15 minutes before live person came on and did all the paper work and told her that she needed to send in another piece of info. Would have thought that tax accountant would have knew this. So hopefully after added info is sent in the refund check will be sent. 7k split 4 ways. I might have to add my help fee on

That is so damn true. Sure sometimes the wait times can be longer then a person wants. I just put the phone on speaker and do other things while waiting. Magas werent born with the be patient gene ,lollll
