Biden has maintained almost everything that was in place from Trump and other presidents. Even before Biden assumed office, border patrol saw more arrests and crossings after Trump wall went up than most months before Trump wall. According to Cato institute, illegal immigration would disappear if legal channels are greatly expanded. That is the only reform for lasting progress at south border. However for decades, congress has rejected immigration reforms.

Not really sure what your argument is. Everyone knows the Trump administration focused on apprehensions along the border. Whats your point? It certainly did nothing to reduce human trafficking, drug trafficking, crime along the border, or illegal immigration overall. Migrants just used legal ports for drugs and entry instead. Did Fentanyl stop entering the U.S. under Trump? No. Did the drug trade stop? No. Was the drug cartel eliminated?
