Funny thing about gas prices is that you would think that the more the area is remote the more expensive it is but it's actually the other way around. Something off about that. Based on that link the lowest prices are in remote areas like twentynine palms, Bakersfield and Yucca Valley. All remote areas and places not many live yet cheaper gas prices. As you move into the major cities like Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco they price gouge us. And those rates on the list must be for the midgrade gas versus the premium cause there is not any gas in my area below $5.20 for low grade. I drive an 8 series BMW so I'm filling up with premium gas at about $5.50 to $5.65 a gallon right now.

So, up from a few weeks to a month or so ago? We had a small decline (tapping into reserves, so dumb. But hey, MSM said "gas is on it's way back down, yay joe!) and I mean small decline, only to go back up higher. 

Anyone wanna guess what happens in 1-2 months? Higher or lower than today? 

I saw my local gas up about a dollar since ~3 weeks ago. 

Phoenix has the refinery scam going where the refineries are in maint mode to switch over from summer to winter formulation and prices went up 60 cents in one week.

OPEC announced cutting back daily production of 2 million barrels today.

US is the top oil producing country in the world under Biden.  US is energy independent because energy exports exceed imports and production exceeds demand according to US energy information administration.  Since oil is an international commodity, markets largely determine prices.  US still imports oil because foreign oil is cheaper.  For US to be independent of foreign markets, US would need to go beyond fossil fuels by developing renewable sources of energy.  

Biden, January 2021 while announcing new efforts to limit oil and gas production: “Climate change will be at the center of our national security and foreign policy.” Biden, March 9, 2022: “We are moving in the direction that we don't need” fossil fuels to drive a car.

The prices we're seeing today were projected to be seen 20 years from now! That's how far the soon to be (actually currently) worst president in history has set us back. @Thirdperson US is the top oil producing country in the world under Biden. 

The US has been the largest oil producer since 2018, UNDER TRUMP.  Biden is restricting production but happens to be pres while the US is still the largest producer, for now anyway. Once again, the left trying to take credit when credit is not due. Stop trying to spin facts.

Permits do not mean there is oil to find on the land issued. Why would oil companies want to invest and drill knowing this admin wants to shut them down? If he gets another 4 years, all the research, planning and investments made to create more drilling could very easily be shut down. Don't act like issuing permits is going to solve the problem when he openly said he wants them shut down and fined.
