  A dual win for consumers!

Inflation cooled significantly last month,  

likely giving central bankers more confidence to continue cutting interest rates!

The Fed’s favorite inflation gauge, the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index, showed consumers paid 2.2% more for goods and services for the year ended in August, falling from 2.5% in July!

This marks another step closer toward the Fed’s 2% inflation target,

as well as the lowest inflation rate seen since February 2021

Stocks rose Friday as Wall Street cheered
the US economy’s display of resilience!

The Dow rose 341 points, or 0.8%, to close at a fresh record high of 42,352.75.
All three major indexes ended the week higher.

That comes after data Friday showed the economy
      added a whopping 254,000 jobs last month,
      blowing past economists’ estimates!

The gangbusters figure has raised optimism on Wall Street
that the economy will achieve a soft landing, or a scenario
in which inflation comes down and there’s no recession!

Traders see a 96% expectation that the Federal Reserve
will cut rates by a quarter point at its November policy meeting,
according to the CME FedWatch Tool.

For over 90 years, stock market performance has predicted winner in over 80% of presidential elections.  Rising Dow favors incumbent.  This bodes well for Harris.

New CNN Poll of Polls averages in the “Blue Wall” states of Michigan and Wisconsin.

In Michigan, Harris holds an average of 49% support to Trump’s 46% among likely voters; in Wisconsin, Harris also averages 49% to Trump’s 46%.

In both states, the individual surveys included in the averages show either no clear leader or an edge for Harris.
The averages include a set of new polls from Quinnipiac University, which find Harris taking 49% to Trump’s 46% in Michigan, and the two candidates tied at 48% in Wisconsin.

Quinnipiac’s latest Michigan survey shows Harris performing better against Trump than she did in the university’s early October poll (50% Trump, 47% Harris)

Kaiser family foundation estimates that over 14 million seniors could benefit from Harris plan to expand medicare to cover home healthcare services.  This would ease the burden for working adults responsible for aging parents and raising children. 

Personally believe this is a great idea. 

But the political party which FAILED to come up with the idea first will most certainly oppose it......BECAUSE they failed to come up with it first

The US economy seems to have pulled off a remarkable and historic achievement.

Gross domestic product, which measures all the goods and services produced in the economy, expanded at an annualized rate of 2.8% in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.

Wednesday’s report comes after earlier data showed the economy added a whopping 254,000 jobs in September, inflation is a whisper away from the Federal Reserve’s 2% target and consumer confidence jumped this month by the fastest clip since March 2021, according to The Conference Board — all signs of a robust economy.
