Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) announced that she’ll run for president in the 2020 election.

Gabbard became the first Hindu member of Congress when she was elected to the U.S. House in 2012. She also was one of the first female combat veterans elected to Congress ?

She publicly resign from her role as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee...after she threw her support behind Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign ..

Can you imagine a primary debate stage with 20 podiums set up? You would get the same result Republicans got in 2016. The loudest, most rude, crude and belligerent mouth would get the attention and probably the nomination. Some of these folks are nothing but attention mongers that will have a negative affect on the results. I wish the rank amateurs would stay out of it. Especially "celebrity" candidates that are the biggest amateurs of all, as DJT is proving right now.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) announced Monday (MLK day),that she will be running for president in 2020.

Harris, one time side piece for former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown ...is the fourth Democrat woman to announce her candidacy for president in 2020...

Willie impregnated his top fund raiser in the mid 90's. He was an interesting character for sure.

If Kamala Harris is running for president of the United States we can assume that she is "natural born" US citizen..can't we?

The question.. that I forwarded didn't question where she was born ..being born in Oakland would make her a citizen at birth’..rather the assumption, that she meets the constitutional requirement of “natural born US Citizen.”

We can define" natural born citizen",,by the Naturalization Act of 1790,, it directly defines natural born as being born of citizen parents/parent..

For that reason I ask ...do we know the citizenship status of her parents when she was born?

Just to clear the air; the first seven presidents and the ninth were not natural born US citizens, by birthright. All were born under English rule to English parents when the US did not even exist. That is why born on American soil is also a birth citizenship.

This may be the only place on earth (other than Joe Arpaio's mind) where the argument still raises it's ugly head. Grow up.

Since no one could be the “natural born citizen” of a nation that did not yet exist.

The Founders did exempt themselves from Article II—Section I—Clause V of the Constitution they wrote and ratified.

Sure Slim, they had to. Will you dispute the - born on American soil - or - 1 US citizen parent? In this day and age? How many different angles are there to the birther argument? As soon as one of those requirements are confirmed the rest of the arguments are Bperiod-Speriod, except on Covers.

When all is said and done, can "anyone" give me a Democratic candidate running for the Presidency in 2020 that is capable of
pulling in 63.5 million votes? that's what it'll take to defeat the Trumpster who already has a base of 63.5m  established votes...

The dems are weak, and getting weaker....have absolutely NO leadership whatsoever...Pelosi? Schumer? Warren? Sanders?
Biden? or maybe Oprah? Michelle Obama? Kamala Harris?
Do you honestly believe any of these potential candidates has even a remote chance to dethrone the King of Cards? who then?

the field is thin, giving the president; 6 more years of controversy
