FBI informant arrested and charged with lying about Joe and Hunter Biden's ties to Ukrainian company

 

An FBI informant the republicans are relying on has been charged with lying to his handler about ties between President Joe Biden, his son Hunter and a Ukrainian energy company!!!

Alexander Smirnov _falsely_ told FBI agents in June 2020 that executives associated with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma paid Hunter and Joe Biden $5 million each in 2015 or 2016, prosecutors said Thursday.

Smirnov told the FBI that a Burisma executive had claimed to have hired Hunter Biden to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” prosecutors said.

 

The allegations became a flashpoint in Congress last summer as Republicans demanded the FBI release the unredacted form documenting the informant's allegations as Republicans eagerly pursued investigations of Biden and his family.

Current impeachment inquiry has been a disaster.  It should be closed due to lack of evidence of high crime by Biden.   Instead GOP continues inquiry because no real evidence is required in smear campaign in election year.  Despite polls showing most Americans don't think Biden should be impeached.  Obviously, an abuse of investigative power by republicans of the least productive House in decades.
