Haha! No, thats not my actual list of favorite poker pro's. I was just playing. My favorite poker pro is Elky, Ivey and Doyle. Its amazing how sharp Doyle still is at his age. I hope I get a chance to play with him in a tourney before he passes away.

I dont have any. Who cares? 95% of them are not pros. They are decent TOURNAMENT players.
Big difference.
If you have a favorite pro you suck at Poker and play $1 - $2 No Limit and buy in for $100 and pray you dont get stacked to quickly.
Or most likely you play the $120 7pm at the Borgata.
Either way kinda pathetic.

So its pathetic if you arent rich enough to be able to gamble with thousands of dollars daily?

I understand what he's trying to say. Anyone who gets all googoo-gaagaa over someone they saw on WSOP it probably is a bit telling about their game.

yes that was my point
sorry if i offended you guys or was a little over the top
i just think when it comes to poker people should focus more on their own game then caring about other people the see on tv
and most of the time people who are poker fans, are terrible poker players
now i'm fine with that because it makes me alot of money....but watching poker on tv is the worst thing in the world for trying to become a better player

but think about this...if you have any kind of skill at the game of poker...there is no way you should ever be stuck at those limits
i have a friend who started playing in 2006...he had NO SKILL. but he worked his ass off reading, playing, learning....really focused on his game...he went from a bankroll of $1,000 playing $1-$2 NL to a regular in $10-$20 NL games...all in under 4 years
if someone has been playing Poker for more than 3 or 4 years and they are still playing those limits then being "rich" has nothing to do with it...they are just not a good player....and thats FINE...not EVERYONE can become a good player....THANKFULLY
but my whole point is stop watching tv, stop ooohing and aaahing over players you see on TV....start reading, studying, taking more focus in your own game (and i dont mean you personally i mean this in general)
everyone wants to be a better player yet so few people actually try and become better
now if your just a casual player...maybe you go to AC or Vegas twice a year and thats the only time you play....then cool, watch on tv and be a fan....but if you want to actually become a player than ignore all the poker nonsense and actually TRY
but if you consider yourself a real poker player and you still worry about poker magazines and the wsop on tv...then i dont know what to say other than your a rare exception or your lying to yourself
because nobody i know whos a winning player gives a flying rats ass about any of that

Not even really dealing with this topic but this statement is the problem with 99% of players nowadays. They all WANT to be awesome players or even THINK that theyre awesome players, but noone wants to TRY and WORK to be awesome players
