Wow!! what a wild weekend I had

I went to morgan city, Louisiana on this past friday afternoon to try to hit the jackpot.  Jackpot was around 290,000.  Played there for about 16 hours.  Was up 1200 at one point in the 5/5 N/L game, but gave 1100 back in one pot.  Left the game up 200.

 

Went home to Baton Rouge around 12 noon, took a nap, and woke up around 11pm.  Ate, took a shower, and drove to Harrah's casino in New Orleans.  18 hrs into the game, I was up 2700.  Decided to go for an even 3000 before leaving.  Big Mistake!!!  Cards started to run bad for me.  I mean real bad.  Suddenly, I'm only up 600.  Nevertheless, I kept playing because the game was so good.  I kept on playing 10 more hours in which I got all my winnings back and some more.  I think I was up 3300 at this point.  Just As I was getting ready to leave, I hit the big end of the jackpot at Harrah's.  Jackpot was around 6200 so I got 1400 for my share.  Left the game, went home, slept, and just woke up.  Life is good!!!

, good deal, but for most people trying to get back previous winnings is a bad mistake, greed has ruined many bankrolls, especially in sports, you know, double up and catch up, works every time except for the last one. Thats why the pro's say only bet 1 or 2 percent of your bankroll on any one game and in poker have at least 20 times your max buy in at the table available in your bankroll, but we wont listen!!!, lol.

btw....im not tryin to pull a "i think im the best so i challenge everyone" here, i just love the game and would like to play vs some of the ppl i have talked about poker with on covers, hence the low stakes

hey young if you want to get money on stars, you can buy a prepaid visa card from most pharmacy's or grocery stores, they go up to $100 and work at the major poker sites almost instantly.

Man i had a crazy weekend too, just now talking about it haha. I woke up around 2:30 in the afternoon and went to play in a homegame, 1/2. Bought in 200 , got bust on a hand that was my fault but i knew id get it back. Hand was aa vs 24 (haha yeah i had 24) 553Ax was the board, o well. Anyway so i rebought 500 and started back amazing play. I ended up cashing out pretty much the whole pot. 1325, another guy cashed out like 260 but he left early and dealer took 100. Pretty average win but notable was the fact that me and the other top player played heads up. Hes really cocky but recognizes we are the best, and i took him down. Then after a nice day i went and got drunk off my ass with my buds. What a great day.

Not sure young one??  Why do you want to play someone heads up???  If you are trying to learn, you don't learn much from heads up, do you???  You learn that a guy can reraise you all in with ace nine.  In that same hand you learn that you may call with pocket sevens.  So you are just hoping to win.  if you want to learn, and I hope this does not sound arrogant, just go to different cash games or casinos and play for some time.  Learn who the regulars think is the best player and try to learn from him.  You learn more about the game playing with ten players

 

i did that shit all january id be up a hundred or so...then id be down then id say "ok just let me get back to even or back to where i was" and i end up getting killed
