Online Poker?

Have a couple of buddies that play a lot of online poker. So my question is, whats everyones take on playing in the same tournament with a friend to gain an advantage. They either play in the same room or im each other what their hands are. They play in both 6 and 10 man tournaments and one of them almost always end up in the top two and the other will usually cash. Ive always thought that is would be considered unethical (no one like a cheater) but they said they never thought they were doing anything wrong. Also was wondering of this is actually illegal?They say that on some sights they cant get into the same game for diff reasons and some people in the game sometimes catch on. This has deterred me from ever plaing online b/c others could be doing this. Is this common? What are your thought.

It's called collusion and it is the biggest risk to online poker (forget "rigged" cards, that's the least of your worries.) It is a disgrace. I would be delighted to play either of your buddies heads up and bust them for being such assholes.

most of sites will ban you if they catch wind of it and freeze your account and keep your money....tell your buddies its not worth it.

And if you play online enough you will definitely spot this happening from time to time.
