Ok this is my friend playing on bodog while I was watching him a few months ago.

Well it is a ring game and he has 600 in front of him and here is the situation.

A guy raises...don't remember the amount and my friend calls and he has JJ.
Well the flop is 4 J J and the guy comes out bets big, my friend raises, there is a reraise, and my friend goes all in for 600 and the other guy calls and he has KK.
turn comes K and the river comes another K so his quads get beat buy higher quads.
This is probably the baddest beat I have ever heard of in my life.

Losing with quads is very bad. I once beat a guy who had a straight flush though.

Flopping quads and losing runner runner to higher quads, definitely a bad beat.

I once had a straight flush and lost on the river to a royal. Hey, what could I say but "very nice hand".  You don't get to see many royal flushes and even though that's one I didn't want to see it's hard to complain about losing to that hand.

I remember Bodog only for one hand. I remember this hand because it has yet to happen to me since...

I was playing 3/6 limit and I had pocket jacks flopped jacks full of fives. Guy behind me has pocket fives. I'm sure you know how the hand went on the turn and river and I ended up losing around 60 on that one freakin hand

This had never happened before Bodog and I have yet to have a 'top boat' get beat by quads since. Fuckin Bodog

How the hell can you lose with a King High straight flush

The only thing that could beat you is a Royal and if you had the King how could he get the Royal?

Cant be 2 different suits as there are only 5 cards on a board and 2 each in your hands.

Cant use the same suit and one have a royal and the other one had the King.

Only way I can see is a Q high straight flush losing if you had 8,9 and he had AK

    8,9        10,J,Q board

    Please explain

Make sense except you could easily put someone on an ACE in that situation.

I also was thinking he had the King. 4 of the same suit on the board with someone only needing the Ace.... I wouldn't call that a bad beat if you both got the same flop, turn and river.

Maybe he can explain it and we can understand the hand and situation

The hand in question, I had pocket 9s and the other guy had Ace King and all the money was in preflop so nothing else could have been done.  At the end of the hand when the cards were flipped and I saw I lost I wanted to cry.

Probably should mention that the flop was a 9x 10s Js
                                                     turn was the Ks
                                                     rivered the Qs

I was in preflop and the two other guys did some betting on the flop and turn. It was painful to see how the guy had caught up so quickly even after I had improved my hand.

Yeah, didn't really think about the kind of details one would need to understand poker or strategy when I made that first post.

I don't care if I've taken 1000000 bad beats in a row.  The flop was 4-J-J....the ONLY way he loses is if the other guy has Q's, K's, or A's and hits RUNNER RUNNER same cards.  IF this indeed happens, then there is nothing you can do about it.  But I'm happy to slow play ANY quads ANY time.
