Me and some friends were playing .50c/ $1 hands and the pots werent getting big enough so we would straddle like 4 times lol in one hand. The player after BB would put a straddle on, then the other player would double it, and so on.
When you straddle, is it usually double the BB?
I guess since it was a home cash game we could do whatever the hell we wanted so it doesnt really matter, but just seeing if there are official rules

ohh okay, didn't understand the question. In a poker room you can straddle up to the max number of raises. i.e., if raising is capped after 4 bets, then you next 4 positions in front of the big blind can straddle. All a straddle is is betting in the dark, i.e. raising before you see your cards.
If you are playing with your friends and you guys have no max on the number of raises, I suppose you can straddle all the way around the table to the button. The button would have a $10 straddle
